QUEENSBURY – William J. Hunt, 71, of Meadowbrook Road, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, February 9, 2025.
Born on July 3, 1953 in Glens Falls, he grew up in Glens Falls and was a graduate of Glens Falls High School. Bill worked as a tile setter for Tile By Description in Queensbury, a company he and his long time companion ran together. He loved working with his hands and always managed to stay busy, but he also found time to build with Legos with his best friend, who he treated like a son, Leo.
Bill was predeceased by a sister, Kathy Rither, and a brother, Steven Hunt.
He is survived by his beloved companion and partner for 30 years, Ellen Twiss of Queensbury; his step daughter, Victoria Anderson (Alex Kowalik) of Wilton; his best friend, like a son, Leo Kamburelis of Queensbury; a brother, Ed Hunt (Patty) of Troy; and his sisters, Cindy Hunt Kelly of Louisiana, Linda Burch (John) of South Carolina, and Vicki Goodspeed (Aaron) of South Glens Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 23. 2025 at Saluto’s Pub, 186 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
