HUDSON FALLS – Troy Thew, 37, of Hudson Falls, died on March 20, 2016, at his home, with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Born on April 29, 1978, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Amanda Kay (Shattuck) Mosher and G. Kim Mosher.
Troy worked as a carpenter for several years, until his illness would not allow him to work.
He enjoyed playing softball for several area leagues. Troy loved fishing, hiking, camping and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Thew of Hudson Falls; his three children, Zachary, Ethan and Owen, all of Hudson Falls his granddaughter, Paisley Thew; his mother, Amanda Mosher and her husband, G. Kim of Hudson Falls; his brothers, Shane Frasier of Corinth, Lincoln Frasier of Hudson Falls, William Mosher and his wife, Candy of Hudson Falls and Joe Thew of Greenfield Center; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Troy’s request, there are no services planned.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Rest in blessed peace, Troy. We wish for your family to find comfort in the heroism of your struggle with this cruel affliction. And thank you and Cindy for the friendship and sharing you showed to my brother Mike Beson and his wife Elly, who were with you in this fight. We send our love and deepest condolences.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Troy. I remember him when he went to Hadley-Luzerne School . I worked there as a secretary. He was a nice young man. I’m sorry that he had to go through so much. My deepest sympathy to his family.
