FORT EDWARD – Diane Smythe, 55, of East Road, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at her home.
Born December 31, 1958, in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Elaine (Frey) Smythe.
Diane was employed as an account clerk for the Hudson Falls School System and was a Martiall Arts Instructor for the Murray’s Family Martial Arts. She loved her four dogs, and raising horses on the Hickory Hill Farm in Fort Edward. Diane enjoyed birds and was an avid naturist.
Survivors include her sister, Lorelle Arpino and her husband, Carlo of Dedham, MA; her nephew, Justin A. Arpino and his wife, Ashley of New Hampshire; her niece, Alyssa M. Arpino and her fiancé, Jesse Alvarado of MA; one grandniece, Aleigha Arpino of MA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends may call Saturday, April 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls.
A Prayer service will follow the calling hours, at 5 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will take place on a later date, at Union Cemetery in Fort Edward.
