ARGYLE – Barbara J. Savoie, 80, of Washington Center in Argyle passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on October 8, 1936 in Ticonderoga, she was the daughter of the late Clyde H. and Myrtle (Martin) Manning.
Barbara was long time resident of Springfield, MA, where she lived with her late husband, Leonard Savoie. She also lived with her sister and brother-in-law in Glens Falls and Hudson Falls for many years.
She was a member of the Church of the Cross in Ticonderoga.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was predeceased by three sisters, Ruth Manning Brittain, Virginia Rose Manning Sartwell, and Julia Stone; five brothers, Clyde Manning, Jr., Kenneth Harold Manning, Bruce H. Manning, and Grant Manning and a daughter, Nancy Anne Dickinson.
She is survived by four daughters, Naomi Ball and her husband, William, of Fort Edward, Julia Smith of Glens Falls, Dianna Giddens of Florida, and Robin Savoie Brown of Lowell, MA, several grandchildren and great-grandchild; two daughters’ in law, Mary Manning of Hudson Falls and Janet Manning of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 12 noon till 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
A prayer will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, following the calling hours, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to epilepsy.
