Mary “Beth” Rosa

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Mary “Beth” Rosa, 64, formerly of South Glens Falls, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Grand in Guilderland.

Born on May 11, 1960, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Ira Durkee Rosa, Sr. and Beatrice Edna (Keech) Rosa.

Beth enjoyed bowling and playing her hand-held games.  She always could be seen carrying her bible everywhere she went.  Beth will be remembered for being a happy and kind soul, who could always offer you a hot cup of coffee when you visited.

She is survived by her siblings, Loretta “Laurie” (Chuck) Flewelling, Edward (Cherie) Rosa, Nellie (George) Bolton, Alan Rosa and Ira Rosa, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will follow the calling hour on Tuesday.

The burial will be later in the spring at Brown Cemetery in West Fort Ann.

Beatrice “Bea” E. (Keech) Rosa

Rosa, BeaMOREAU – Beatrice “Bea” E. (Keech) Rosa, 88, of Bluebird Road, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on October 30, 1928, in West Fort Ann, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Edith (Granger) Keech.

In June of 1945, she married Ira “Ike” Rosa in Concord, New Hampshire.  They were married 39 wonderful years, before he passed away on April 6, 1984.

For many years, she and her husband owned and operated Rosa’s Taxi in Hudson Falls.  Bea was also very proud have been a senior companion at the Queensbury Day-Hab program.  She loved her job and made many friends while helping clients.

Bea lived her life according to her faith.   Her church, her Lord and her family, especially her daughter, Mary Beth were her strength and the center of her life.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

Bea is survived by her six children, Edward Rosa and his wife, Cheryl of Hudson Falls, Nellie Bolton and her husband, George of Lancaster, SC, Ira Rosa, Jr. of Moreau, Loretta Flewelling and her husband, Charles of Halfmoon, Mary Beth Rosa of Moreau and Alan B. Rosa of Barre, VT; her nine grandchildren, Christopher Edward Rosa, Melissa Ann Rogers, Ira D. Rosa, III, Erika Williams, Angela Putnam, Michael Flewelling, Cindi Flewelling-Tsuji, Brooke Rosa and Cody Rosa; several great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Saturday, from 11 to 1 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Bea’s funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, following the calling hours at the funeral home, with the Reverend James Swanson, pastor of Turning Point Wesleyan Church in Fort Miller, officiating.

Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery in the town of Fort Ann.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Turning Point Wesleyan Church, 1061 Route 4, Fort Edward,  NY  12828.
