SOUTH GLENS FALLS – James R. Quartiers, 66, of South Glens Falls, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
Born March 5, 1949, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Clifford and Elsie (McAuley) Quartiers.
He was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School. For many years, James worked for Clyde’s Laundromat and the Adirondack Nautilus.
James loved the Giants football team and Yankees baseball team. He enjoyed playing Bingo and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents, James was predeceased by his sister, Catherine I. Robbins, and his great nephew, Cameron Jace Quartiers.
Survivors include his brothers, Joseph Quartiers and his wife, Brenda of South Glens Falls, Clifford Quartiers and his wife, Mary of Queensbury; his sister, Rita Trybendis and her husband, Stephen of Hudson Falls; his nieces and nephews, Joseph Quartiers, Richard Quartiers and his companion, Mercedes, Robert Quartiers and his wife, Laura, Jason Quartiers and his wife, Sara, Kristina Hubert and her husband, Jason, Amber Mallaney and her companion, Todd Bapp II, Travis Mallaney; his brother in law, Edwin G. Robbins of South Glens Falls; as well as several great nieces and great nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.
The graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at Moss Street Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.
