HUDSON FALLS – Margaret “Maggie” Lamere Maynard, 93, of Hudson Falls, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Fort Hudson Health Care Facility.
Born on February 24, 1921 in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Lucy (Parker) Lamere.
Maggie attended St. Mary’s School and Hudson Falls High School. She was a lifelong resident of Hudson Falls and was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church.
Maggie loved country music. She was an active promoter of local country music, having been an officer in many local fan clubs and also organizing many benefits. She was a loyal member of the Dick Ladd Square Dance Association. Maggie also enjoyed bowling in her earlier years.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two husbands, Douglas Bombard and Edgar Maynard; her daughters and sons in law, Evelyn and Sebastian Pagano and Dawn and Renald Tessier; her great granddaughter, Heather Smith; her brother, W. Kenneth Lamere and her sister, Evelyn Brown.
Survivors include her stepson, Edward Maynard and his wife, Lorraine; her grandchildren, Melissa Gifford and her significant other, Charles Randall, Renee and Andy Smith, Robin and Paul Waytkus, Raymond and Lani Tessier, Ronald and Cathy Tessier, James Pagano, Peter Pagano, Edward Maynard, Wendy and Susan Maynard and Alice and Rick Whitmore; 15 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 15, 2014, from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, following the calling hours at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s officiating.
