FORT ANN – Clara M. Fredette, 76, of Fort Ann, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, March 7, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born April 9, 1938, in Granville, she was the daughter of the late Leonard M. and Ella M. Winchell.
On March 26, 1960, Clara married Maurice Fredette in Granville.
Clara enjoyed babysitting, listening to country music, and singing. She loved spending time in her garden and canning the fresh vegetables. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, putting together puzzles with her husband, and playing Super Nintendo, Mario Brothers.
Besides her parents, Clara was predeceased by her in laws, Charles and Iva Fredette and several of her sisters.
Survivors include her husband of almost 54 years, Maurice Fredette; her children, Charmane Fischer and her husband, Jack, Lewis Fredette and his wife, Sandy, Rhonda Carney and her companion, David Raymond; her grandchildren, Jeremy Fredette and his husband, Travers and Katelyn Fredette, her close family friends, John Wright, Roxanna Fredette; as well as her very close family friend and caregiver, Robin Wells; and several brothers and sisters.
Clara’s family would like to thank Colleen Peck for her devoted care given to Clara and Maurice.
Friends may call on Thursday, from 12 to 2 p.m., at the Calvary Family Life Center, 100 Sherman Ave., in Glens Falls.
Services will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday, at the Calvary Family Life Center.
Following the services, a celebration of her life will be held at the Fort Ann Firehouse, State Route 149, in Fort Ann.
Memorial donations in memory of Clara may be made to C.R. Wood Cancer Center, 102 Park Street, Glens Falls, New York 12801.
