FORT EDWARD – Cindy A. Collier, 58, of Fort Edward and most recently of Corinth, passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on Monday, January 11, 2016, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on August 2, 1957, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Marie (Nichols) Sexton.
On August 12, 1978, she married Thomas Collier at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward.
She worked for the OshKosh and Lane Bryant outlets in Lake George.
Cindy loved spending time with her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana and being outside with her family. She enjoyed reading and staying in touch with family and friends on Facebook.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a sister, Marlene Sexton.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Thomas Collier of Corinth; her sons, Jim Collier and his wife, Mary of Fort Edward and Tomm Collier and his girlfriend, Lindsey of Cohoes; her grandchildren Alexander Collier, Gillian Collier and Max Collier; a sister Debbie Colvin and her husband, Herb of Queensbury; her extended family member. Mary Altare; and several nieces. Nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
A funeral service will take place at 6 p.m. Friday evening (Following the calling hours) at the funeral home.
The Rite of Committal will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward, at a later date.
Cindy’s family has requested that memorial donations in her memory be made to the charity of one’s choice.
