GLENS FALLS – Margaret Mary Brodeur, 94, of Glens Falls, went into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the Pines in Glens Falls.

Margaret was born on June 16, 1918, in Cooperstown, the daughter of the late Wilfred L. and Rose (Lynch) Brodeur.

She attended Sanford Street School from 1922 to 1932 and St. Mary’s Academy from 1933 to 1934.  Margaret then transferred to Glens Falls High School from 1935 to 1936.  She graduated from Marymount College in 1940, with a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Studies.

Margaret was employed by George R. Coreghlan, Jr., Esq. and Ryan Yavonditte & McCall, Esqs, as a legal secretary.   She was also a secretary to Commissioner Edward R. Dickenson, Jr., in the New York State Department of Commerce from 1953 through 1954.  From 1955 to 1980, Margaret was a Research Economist.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Anne Webster, Kathleen Brodeur and Martha Bombard.

Survivors include her sister, Lucille DelSignore of Queensbury; and eleven nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours scheduled.

A Funeral Mass for both Margaret and her sister, Kathleen “Kay” Brodeur  will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, on the park, in Hudson Falls.

The Rite of Committal for both Margaret and Kay will take place later in the spring at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in the town of Queensbury.

Margaret’s family suggests that memorial donations in her memory be made to High Peaks Hospice and Palliative Care, 79 Glenwood Avenue, 2nd Floor, Queensbury, NY 12804

Kathleen Rose Brodeur

brodeurGLENS FALLS – Kathleen Rose Brodeur, 93, of Glens Falls, went into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Kathleen was born on November 15, 1919, in Massena, NY, the daughter of the late Wilfred L. and Rose (Lynch) Brodeur.

She was an honors graduate of Marymount College.

Kathleen worked for King’s Syndicate in New York City, the First National Bank in Glens Falls and for Frank McGinley in Glens Falls.

She was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church, formerly in Glens Falls.

She enjoyed the family home on Coolidge Ave. in Glens Falls and the family home in Kattskill Bay which she enjoyed from her childhood on.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen is predeceased by two sisters, Anne Webster and Martha Bombard.

Survivors include her sisters, Margaret Brodeur and Lucille DelSignore of Queensbury; and eleven nieces and nephews.
