HUDSON FALLS – Patricia O’Donnell Bowyer, 78, of Hudson Falls. N.Y. went into the arms of The Lord on Friday afternoon, February 20 after a short illness. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Glens Falls.
Patti was a devoted communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Greeter. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, James A. bowyer, her father and mother James and Ann O’Donnell. For forty years Patti owned and operated Patricia’s Beauty Salon of Hudson Falls and also operated Curl & Swirl Beauty Shop on Corrigan’s Corners in Hudson Falls.
Her priority was always her family. Patti had a passion for gardening and displaying fresh flowers in her home. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting may things to give as gifts and took great pride in being Irish. Patti so enjoyed putting together and hosting parties and picnics for her family and friends. She is survived by her four siblings: Kathleen O’Donnell, Thomas O’Donnell, Mary Enhorning and her husband, Norman, all of Glens Falls; Katherine Frederick and her husband, Warren of Clifton Park; several nieces nephews cousins and two great-nephews.
Friends and family may call from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.
The Rite of Committal will take place in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
