GLENS FALLS – Sharon L. Cauffiel, 64, of Madison Street, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 17, 2021.
Born on January 21, 1957 in New York City, she was the daughter of Doris Polski and the late Gordon Polski.
Sharon grew up in downstate New York where she graduated from high school.
For many years she was the food service manager at Hess. Sharon loved her job at Hess, where she met many wonderful friends. More recently, she took care of her mother, Doris and loved the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Sharon loved family gathering at her home, where she cooked steaks on the grill for an army. And it was an army! When her son was stationed at Fort Drum, he would arrive with his buddies and Sharon was always there feeding them with all the food they could eat. She was a caregiver, always putting others first. Sharon was a great mother that opened her heart to not only her family but to all “the kids” in her life. She was also an adoring grandmother, who will be greatly missed.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her son’s father, David Cauffiel and her longtime partner, Tony Adams.
Survivors include her mother, Doris Polski; her sons, Joshua Cauffiel and his wife, Bobbye and Daniel Cauffiel and his wife, Kerri; her grandchildren, Kayleigh and her husband, Brandon, Sydnee, Nathanial, Gabryel, Lily, Serenity and Christian and their mother, Sonya, Brenna, Trinity, Serenity and Natalie and their father, Tony; her brothers, Bob Polski and his wife, Veronica and Keith Polski and his wife, Holly; her sister, Sue Ialongo, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
All services are private.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to an American Veteran Organization of your choice or the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Drive #100, Albany, NY 12205.
