HUDSON FALLS – Roy A. Hall, 76, of John Street passed away unexpectedly, January 8, 2017, at his home.
Born August 7, 1940, in Granville, he was the son of the late Meredith and Elizabeth (Sweet) Hall.
Roy was united in marriage to Patricia Tifft on August 31, 1996, at Crandall Park.
Over the course of his career, he was employed by Native Textile, Binches, and Apex Textile in Pennsylvania.
Roy enjoyed family outings, his grandchildren, and storytelling. He was a math wizard, but overall remembered as a wonderful family man.
In addition to his parents, Roy was predeceased by his sister, Wanda Tifft.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Patricia M. Hall of Hudson Falls; his five children: Sandra (Edson) Williamson of Hudson Falls, Marie Edson-Fleming of Hudson Falls, Thomas McDonald and his wife, Denise of Fort Edward, Cinnamon (McDonald) Balcom and her husband, Todd of Granville, and Serena (Hall) Seal of Louisiana; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
A funeral and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.

Roy was more than a step-father he was a friend. Roy and I had a little game just between us. No matter what color a lighter was (yellow, green, blue, pink) it was black. Roy was also a math wizard and when I took college math and got frustrated Roy came to my rescue. Yes Roy will be sadly missed. Love you Roy, miss you. Say hi to Bob.
