Fort Edward – Rosemary (Cronin) Sheehan age 86 has found her peace in heaven passing away on March 20, 2025.
Born on May 1, 1938 in Fort Edward she was the daughter of the late William E. and Evelina M. (LaFarr) Cronin.
Rosemary was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School and the Albany Medical Center Practical Nursing School.
She was employed as a nurse at Albany Medical Center, Glens Falls Hospital and the Fort Hudson Nursing Home. For 23 years, Rosemary worked at General Electric Company in Fort Edward, retiring in 1998.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s / St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Hudson Falls.
Besides her parents, Rosemary was predeceased by her brothers William and Robert Cronin.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughter Lori Sheehan; a sister, Patricia (Cronin) Stickney; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosemary and her beautiful smile were greatly loved and cherished by all that knew her – she will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Rosemary was a loving mother, sister and friend to many, especially her dear friends Barb, Michelle, Rosemary, Claire, Ann, and her many friends at Fort Hudson. One of Rosemary’s favorite times was sitting on the porch in Cleverdale with her sister Patty enjoying morning coffee or afternoon cocktails overlooking Lake George. She also loved her time with friends and family during her Friday afternoon Happy Hours.
The family would like to thank Fort Hudson Nursing home staff – nurses, aids, physical & occupational department staff, for their love, kindness and compassionate care of Rosemary during her final journey to heaven and peace – we will be forever grateful.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or your favorite charity.
There will be no calling hours.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, March 28, 2025 at St. Mary’s / St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Hudson Falls, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the Town of Kingsbury.
So sorry for your loss Lori. Sending our love and prayers to you and Patty.
