HUDSON FALLS – Roscoe N. “Rocky” Harrington, 79, a longtime Hudson Falls resident, went into the arms of the Lord, on Monday, October 5, 2015, at Indian River Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Granville.
Born February 23, 1936, in Fort Edward, he was the son of the late Roscoe E. and Doris (LaPlace) Harrington.
Roscoe was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School. He worked as a foreman for Native Textiles in Glens Falls. In his younger years, he was a garage mechanic at the Texaco Station on Sherman Avenue.
He enjoyed talking to many people through Ham and CB radio. Roscoe also enjoyed going shopping and going out to eat. He was a member of the Adirondack Armature Radio Club. Rocky was also a member of the Fort Edward/Hudson Falls 60 Plus Senior Citizens.
Besides his parents, Roscoe was predeceased by his nephews, Thomas J. McIntosh and James Rozzele.
Survivors include his four sisters, Barbara M. Hall and her husband, Ronald B. of South Glens Falls, Doris J. McIntosh and her companion, Carl Aldous of Gansevoort, Patricia Lee Harrington and her companion, Thomas Prouty of Newcomb and Elsie Doloph of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday from 11 to 1 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.
The funeral service will follow calling hours at 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
