HUDSON FALLS – Barbara A. Pincheon Ure Chadwick, 80, of Delaware Ave, passed away at her home, Monday, March 7, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 31, 1935, in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Charlotte (Kinney) Pincheon.
Barb was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School.
On September 28, 1973, she married David Chadwick. He passed away in 2005.
Barb served as a matron for the Hudson Falls Police Department and as a crossing guard at Oak and Maple Street. She also was an Avon representative.
Barb was the proud owner of a beautiful 1935 Ford custom pickup truck and a member of the ACE Car Club. She loved animals, enjoyed playing pool, watching NASCAR, traveling, country music, snowmobiling, going hunting and fishing, arts and crafts, ceramics, painting and most of all, spending time with her family. Barb loved big family gatherings and was the matriarch of her family.
Besides her parents and husband, Barb was predeceased by her son in law, Jack Diamond.
Survivors include her children, Jim Ure and his wife, June of Hudson Falls, Debbie Diamond of South Glens Falls, Dave Ure and his loving companion, Marybeth of Fort Edward, Dan Ure and his wife, Robin of Hudson Falls, Dru Ure and his wife, Joelyn of Glens Falls; her stepchildren, Patti Gile of Schenectady, Janette Daury of Virginia, Carol Foote and her husband, Dan of Queensbury, David Chadwick, Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Georgia, Theresa Burch of Glens Falls, Barbara Davis of Ohio; many grandchildren and several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her sister Sandy Priest of Hudson Falls; her sister in law, Sharon Fares of Glens Falls; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her first husband, with whom she had 5 children, Leon Ure, of the town of Moreau.
Friends may call on Friday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.
Words of remembrance will be offered, following the calling hours, at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the spring at Moss Street Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.
