KINGSBURY – Melissa Marie Rock, 43, of Kingsbury, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at her home.
Born on September 10, 1981, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Rolland and Mary (DelSignore) Rock.
Melissa was a 1999 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. For the past 20 years she worked at Travelers Insurance, where she was an insurance agent. Melissa was best known for her love of karaoke and operating MRock Entertainment for over five years.
She deeply loved her family and friends, especially the people at Sully’s East, Bogey’s, Hudson Falls American Legion, Broadway Lanes, Lawrence Street Tavern and the Rock Bar and Grill. Melissa loved to spend time with her family and friends. During the summers, she enjoyed going to the Saratoga Racetrack. She loved shopping, especially at her favorite store, Buckle. Melissa also enjoyed trying her luck at bingo.
Her mom was her best friend. They loved doing everything together, especially their weekly tv night. She also looked forward to her weekly trips to Good Vibes, she had her own special drink “Rockstar”. Melissa enjoyed collecting nutcrackers, as well as freebird boots and blowfish sneakers. She always would be seen wearing her cherished handmade jewelry.
She is survived by her parents, Rolland and Mary Rock; her siblings, Mark (Jennifer) Rock, Christopher Rock, Scott (Cricket) Rock, Steven Rock and TJ (Rena) Rock; her nieces and nephews, who she loved as her own, Elizabeth (Nick May) Rock, Haleigh (Madison) Akins-Rock, Evan Rock, Philip Rock, Tiffany Rock and Landon Rock; and her great nieces, Avery May and Emerson May.
Friends are invited to the calling hours on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
At the request of the Rock family, a celebration of life will be held at the Rock Bar and Grill in the spring.
Burial will also be in the spring at Union Cemetery in Fort Edward.
