WASILLA, ALASKA- Jubilee Hope Saville, age 3 ½ months, of Wasilla, Alaska, was called home by the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2014, after a courageous battle with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Type I.
Jubilee was born on November 7, 2013, in Palmer, Alaska, the daughter of Nathaniel and Kristen (MacMurray) Saville of Wasilla, Alaska.
She brought joy, optimism and celebration to those around her. In her 3 ½ short months Jubilee had become a seasoned traveler, exploring places like Alaska, Boston, upstate New York, including the slopes of Gore Mountain. She was a loving, calm and patient baby. In the womb, she waited for her daddy to get back from Boston before she came into this world. Her eyes could tell a story; her gaze touched your soul. She loved rocking and sucking on her favorite froggy pacifier, playing with balloons and taking spa-like baths. Her sisters loved to kiss and hold her as often as they could. They could always bring a smile to her face and light up her eyes. She touched the lives of more people than one can imagine during her time here on earth; her life had a divine purpose. Her parents’ void and sadness is paired with peace that their baby girl is resting in the arms of the Lord. Nathaniel and Kristen thank God for the precious moments they were given with Jubilee. She was but a bud on this earth that will continue to bloom in heaven.
Jubilee is joining heaven with her maternal grandfather, Paul A. MacMurray; paternal great-grandparents, Floyd “Ken” and Gladys Saville and Norman Hitchcock.
Survivors include her parents, Nathaniel and Kristen (MacMurray) Saville of Wasilla, Alaska; her sisters, Raegan and Marlee Saville of Wasilla, Alaska; her paternal grandparents, Gordon and Norma Saville of Kingsbury; her maternal grandmother, Esther MacMurray of Hudson Falls; her paternal great-grandmother Marion Hitchcock of Kingsbury; maternal great-grandparents, Sandra and Michael Wheeler of Kingsbury, Edna Thompson of Fort Ann, and Lester MacMurray of Kingsbury; her uncles and aunts, Russell and Susan Saville of Fort Ann, Peter and Grace Saville of Fort Ann, Matthew and Maxine Saville of Orwell, VT, Angela MacMurray of Albany, Katlyn MacMurray of Hudson Falls; and numerous cousins.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Argyle Presbyterian Church on Route 40 in Argyle, with the Rev. Stephen McLean, pastor officiating. Reception to follow immediately after.
Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers we would be pleased to have you continue spreading Jubilee’s light through memorial donations to support Families of SMA and fund research to cure SMA at: www.fsma.org or 925 Busse Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
The Saville family would like to thank the Albany Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit staff, the local community, their extended family and so many others for the love and support they showed during Jubilee’s short but wonderful life.

I hope the 2 of you remember me from school. I worked there many years. I remember both of you. I’m writing to send my condolences for your precious baby Jubilee. The description in the post star of your little girl was so sweet and it made me feel as if I knew her just a little bit. I’m so, so sorry you all had to go through all this heartache. I’m thinking of you and the boys (my boys) are too. They have the softest hearts especially for children of their friends. Take care, Mrs. Brewer
