HUDSON FALLS – Early January 22, 2025, John “Jack” James Waters left the world after a long illness. Jack was born August 31, 1949 to Ed and Lorainne Waters of Queensbury NY.
Jack was a graduate of Queensbury High School. He served in the United States Army where he was a bookkeeper. Jack was an accomplished drummer and member of the band Rudy Ward and the Fugitives. He worked many jobs, including machinist, a police dispatcher, printer, and general Handyman at several hotels and motels in the Lake George area.
He had a daughter, Lisa McIntosh and son, Jonathan Waters early in life. Jack enjoyed watching sports on TV, fishing, camping, boating, drinking beer, and knowing his family was safe and healthy. Jack had several friends he considered family, including Bob Mahar, Larry Pratt, Sue Ovitt, Andy Benware, and many others including all of his Facebook friends. Jack enjoyed camping at the bear slides and Schroon River, and also spending time at his family camp at Hadlock Pond.
Later in life, he enjoyed taking the occasional ride on his hoveround, or e-bike, and talking all about the things he wished he could do. Jack was a father, and grandfather, and a great grandfather.
Jack was predeceased by his father, Edward, and mother, Lorraine; his brother, Art; and sister-in-law Charlene.
Left with memories are his sister; Kathleen (Jimmy); daughter Lisa (JR); son Jon (Sarah); stepdaughter, Melissa; and stepson Duwayne; grandsons, Damien (Ashley), Matt (Emma), Jeff (Bri), Joshua (Brittany), Logan (Kianna), Lucas (Martha), and Landan; several nieces and nephews, as well seven great-grandsons, and four great-granddaughters.
Friends may call from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
