HUDSON FALLS – Harold D. McKittrick, 80, of Hudson Falls, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, September 18, 2024.
Born on September 9, 1944 in Glens Falls, he grew up in Salem, NY and was the son of the late Robert McKittrick, Sr. and the late Grace (Colve) McKittrick.
Harold worked in many jobs over the years at local companies such as Whitehall Plywood, Essity in Greenwich, where he was a forklift operator, and we worked for the Washington County DPW. On August 1, 1984 he married Sherry Gordon in Fort Edward and they enjoyed 40 years of marriage together.
Harold loved fishing, playing his guitar, listening to Johnny Cash, gardening, and spending time with his kids.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter, Josie; his sister, Barb; two brothers, Richard and Robert, Jr.; and his niece, Barbie Jean.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry of Hudson Falls; his children, Lisa Wood, Tammy McKittrick, Harold McKittrick, Brian McKittrick, Jen McKittrick, Angela Allen, Daniel McKittrick, Betty Rock, Josh McKittrick, Alex McKittrick, Peggy McKittrick, and Jesse McKittrick; his brother, Gary Lee and Donald “Jerry”; his sisters, Dorothy and Shirley; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
A graveside ceremony will follow at Union Cemetery in Fort Edward.
