HUDSON FALLS – Freda Daillie Holley, formerly of Coleman Ave, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on June 13, 1916, in Dundee, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mathewina Ireland.
Freda graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1935, and then continued her education at Berkshire Business School.
On September 13, 1941, she married William Holley. Together they enjoyed 59 years of marriage until his death in July of 2000.
She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Hudson Falls and was a 50 year volunteer with the Glens Falls Hospital Guild.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, George Ireland and her sister, Mary Sisson.
Freda is survived by her three children, William Holley, Jr. (Jonell) of Ellington, Conn, Brian Holley (Victoria) of Niskayuna and Linda Holley of Watertown; five grandchildren, Andrew Holley, Brian Holley, Ursula Williams, Ian Cannan and Eric Cannan; seven great grandchildren, Sadie and Hunter Holley, Ross Cannan, Milo and Felix Cannan, Brayton Polumbo and Freemon Williams; her sister, Jean Sleeper of Fort Worth Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Moss Street Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

Arrangements are under the care of Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
