QUEENSBURY – Dianne V. Lovett, 80, of Queensbury, went into the arms of the Lord on Friday, March 1st, 2024, at her daughters’ home, with her family by her side.
She was born on February 14th, 1944, in Waterbury, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Steve Swiencicki and Anna (Omiencinski) Swiencicki.
On September 19, 1965, Dianne married her love of her life and best friend, Howard Lovett in Queensbury.
Dianne worked at Jo-Mar dress factory in Glens Falls for several years and went to work for CR Bard in Queensbury, as a quality inspector. She kept busy volunteering with Queensbury Emergency Services, formerly Bay Ridge Rescue Squad as a life member, South Queensbury Fire Auxiliary and was an active member of the Hot Dog Club.
Dianne enjoyed camping with her family, watching truck and tractor pulls, especially when her granddaughter, Tiffany was participating. She was a devoted grandmother and stayed very active in her grandchildren’s activities. Dianne also loved every minute caring for her 5 cats.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Howard T. Lovett Sr and her beloved cat Chubbo.
Survivors include her three children, Valerie Twiss and her husband, Thomas Sr., Joesph Du Prey and his significant other, Kim Marie Winchip and Howard T. Lovett Jr. and his wife Lorri; her six grandchildren, Theresa Waterman and her husband, Matt, Thomas Twiss JR and his significant other, Michele Brucculeri and Brittany (Winchip) and her husband, JP Quintal and Brandon Winchip, Austin Lovett and Nikolas Lovett; her great grandchildren are Mia Anna-Mary and her significant other, Jacob Williams, Collin and Nathan Waterman, Dechlan and Delilah Brucculeri-Twiss. Dianne was also survived by her 5 feline friends Abby, Mia, Snowball, Whitey, and Little Man.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dianne’s lifelong friend, Margaret Centerbar. Margaret was always just a phone call away and she shared in Dianne’s care for years. A loyal true friend!
Dianne also wanted a special thank you to her best friend, Mia. Mia has been by Dianne’s side since Mia was born. The two shared many vacations, shopping trips, dinners out and many other adventures. Dianne and “Princess Mia” had a true Great Grandmother bond.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 10:00 am until 12 noon, at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls. In keeping with Dianne’s wishes not to have a somber event, please wear purple (her favorite color) or bright colors.
A celebration of Dianne’s life will follow at noon at the funeral home on Saturday.
