Diane M. Volpe

VolpeHUDSON FALLS – Diane M. Volpe, 65, of Hudson Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born September 30, 1948 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Janette(Leclaire) Gorham Sr.

On February 11, 1967, Diane married Monty Volpe at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward.

Diane enjoyed Bingo and playing the slots at casinos.  She loved the ocean and summer vacations with family and friends.  Diane was an avid reader, loved camping, doing crafts, and enjoyed meeting people.

Besides her parents, Diane was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Gorham, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Monty Volpe of Hudson Falls; her children, Tina Nassivera and her husband, Robert of Fort Edward, Tracy Fowler and her husband, David of Hudson Falls, Monty Volpe and his girlfriend, Trina of Hudson Falls; her grandchildren, Christi Mozo and her husband, Alex, Carrie Nassivera, Jeremy Fowler, Justin Fowler;  her great-grandson, Nathaniel Mozo; her siblings Sally Covell and her husband, Frank of Saratoga, Jean Bull and her husband, Gifford of Saratoga, Lorrie Carpenter of Fort Edward; her sisters in law, Kay Gorham of Fort Edward, Marie Ludeke of Hudson Falls, Gloria LaFountain and her husband, Reginald of Glens Falls; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her very special friends, June Bartlett and Valorie Pepitone.

Family and friends may call Sunday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls.

The Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, in Hudson Falls, with Reverend Thomas Babiuch, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will take place at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Diane can be made to the American Cancer Society, 959 Mount Royal Plaza, State Route 9, Queensbury, New York 12804

    to the volpe family words cannot express how sorry we are for the loss of diane.When my boys were growing up she was like a grandma to them.diane would let them go camping right along with the family and spend nights at her house.My prayers are with your family and I wish I could be there to support you but my thoughts are with your family.I have sent out a card love always grace ,nicholas, adrian and christopher
