SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Daniel DelSignore, 72, of South Glens Falls, died at his home on March 17, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 9, 1952, to Roger and Diane (née Potter) DelSignore in Glens Falls, Dan spent his life building strong foundations, both through his family and his career.
On June 27, 1987, Dan married the love of his life, Suzanne Marino, and together they built a life full of love and family.
As the owner and foreman of Lindel Construction Company for 54 years, he played a vital role in shaping his community. His craftsmanship and dedication were evident in the homes and businesses he built—structures that will stand as a testament to his hard work for generations to come.
Dan was known for his outgoing nature, generosity, and fun-loving spirit. He was a loyal friend and a mentor who helped many get their start and become successful in their own careers. He loved to make people laugh, and his mischievousness and irreverent humor were infamous.
Dan embraced life with passion, finding particular joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter, and he loved the freedom of the open road, particularly when on one of his many motorcycle trips with his wife.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Faith Hazelton, and his dear friend and father figure, Mario Sassone. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne DelSignore; his children, Byron (Michelle) DelSignore, Alesa (Liz Parsons) DelSignore, Nathaniel (Terry Barnett) DelSignore, and Rachel (Jeff Irvine) DelSignore; and his beloved granddaughter, Alanah Mae Irvine. He also leaves behind his siblings, Hope Gwin, Denise (Cliff) Tatum, and Todd DelSignore, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A special thanks to Community Hospice and Glen Anderson, PA at Hudson Headwaters for the care and compassion they provided to Dan and his family in this difficult time.
A viewing will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., located at 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls on Sunday, March 23, from 1 to 4 pm with a memorial service to follow at 4 p.m., where we will gather to honor his memory and share our favorite stories.
Dan’s presence will be deeply missed, but his love and influence will continue to resonate in the lives of his family and friends. His memory will live on in their hearts, in the structures he built, and in the stories shared by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate help with funeral expenses. Donations can be given at https://gofund.me/fe87e4eb.
Hope, Denise and Dan’s family. So sorry for your loss. I know he was welcomed to heaven by his family especially Faye and Eddie.
Danny was a true craftsman that could accomplish anything building related. We worked together for many years and I learned a great deal from him. He will be missed. Godspeed my friend
