Cynthia Jean (Marr) Colvin

HUDSON FALLS – Cynthia Jean (Marr) Colvin, 56, of Farley Rd., passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at home.

Born November 19, 1966, in Glens Falls, she was life-long area resident and daughter of the late Darlene (Carter) Winchell and the late Brien Marr, Sr.

Cindy was a graduate of Fort Ann Central School. Throughout her life, Cynthia held various jobs at local mills and in the hospitality industry. Her passion in life was helping others and she enjoyed her time spent working as a personal care aide through Fort Hudson Home Care.

Cindy loved going to the local casinos and playing lottery scratch off tickets. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was predeceased by her stepfather, Howard Winchell, Sr.

Cynthia is survived by her sons, Joseph Marr (Nicole) of Fort Edward, Kenneth Winchell (Danita) of Hudson Falls, and Kevin Winchell (Jen Greenough) of South Glens Falls; her grandchildren Autumn, Peyton, Abbigail, Logan, Darian, Brielle, and Lucas; her siblings, Katherine Marr McIntosh of South Glens Falls, Kenneth Knapp, Jr. of Glens Falls, Howard Winchell, Jr., and Caylee Ringer of Salem, Christine Marr of Maryland, Karen Whitted (Aaron) of Queensbury, Deborah Ringrose of Hudson Falls, Brien Marr, Jr., Lisa Marr Beagle (Dan) of Glens Falls, and Pamala Marr French (Dustin) of South Glens Falls; and her two stepsisters, Dawn Gardner and Kayli Barr Eggleston. Cynthia also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews; her long-time best friend, Carol Martin; as well as several special aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved dearly.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
