HUDSON FALLS – Claire T. Parker, 92, of Hudson Falls, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Born on June 21, 1930, in Amesbury, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Eugenie (Houle) Cadotte, Sr.
On April 3, 1947, she married the love of her life, William L. Parker, Sr. in Fort Ann. He passed away on May 17, 2001.
Claire’s first job was at the lunch counter at Woolworth Department Store in Glens Falls. Later she worked for Price Chopper and the Joy Store, she enjoyed working and seeing the newest clothes in stock.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.
Throughout her life, she was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting her handiwork for her family. She loved spending time with her family “glamping” in Salisbury, MA, family holiday get-togethers, cookouts and snow birding with her companion, Jim Counters at Port Ritchie, Florida. Claire had a standing appointment for brunch and shopping every Wednesday with “The Sisters”.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, William L. Parker, Jr., and Ronald D. Parker; her sister, Joanne Moffitt and her granddaughter, Theresa A. Mulcahy.
She is survived by her children, Terry Parker of Hudson Falls and Susan M. McDonald and her husband, Jeffrey of Fort Edward; her grandchildren, Peter, Benjamin, Victoria, Brandon, Nathan, Chuck and Ron, Jr.; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her companion, Jim Counters; her beloved sisters and brother Rita, Lorraine, Gloria and Alfred, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Fort Ann Cemetery.
