HUDSON FALLS – Christina (Scicchitano) Putnam, 69, of Ferry St., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Born November 17, 1951 in West New York, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Frances (Gaida) Scicchitano.
Christina was a 1971 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. Following high school, she enlisted in the United States Navy, where she proudly served her country. She loved her job working as a clerk while being stationed In Pearl Harbor. Upon returning home, Christina obtained her Associates Degree in Computer Science from Adirondack Community College and also met the love of her life.
On February 24, 1979, Christina married Ronald A. Putnam, in Hudson Falls. They shared 41 wonderful years together.
She held various jobs throughout her life, working for her parents, Textile Outlet in Hudson Falls, then moved to AMES primarily in Kingsbury, and more recently, at Lewis Grocery Store in Hudson Falls, retiring in 2005. After her retirement, Christina had the job that she loved most, taking care of the family’s children.
Christina was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls. She loved crocheting and making crafts for her family and friends. She was a talented painter, painting many different landscape scenes. She treasured her time spent with family and gave lessons to her family on how to do all crafts, crocheting, macramé, and painting. Christina left a legacy that will be passed on to future generations.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ronald Putnam; her children, Maria (Nate) Putnam, Laura (Robert) Putnam and Michelle (Ken) Putnam; her grandchildren, Christopher McKinney, Louis McKinney and Frances Neumann; her siblings, Frank (Zvia) Scicchitano, Louis (Marion) Scicchitano and Theresa (Donald Scicchitano-Sitterly; her nieces and nephews, Eric Baurle, Danielle Baurle, Lisa Baurle, Jacob Baurle, Rachel Scicchitano, Dean Scicchitgano and Gabrielle Scicchitano; and several cousins.
Memorial services will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the family home, 16 Ferry Street in Hudson Falls.
Memorial donations in Christina’s name, may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

I remember Chris when I was a kid. I was friends with her daughter Maria. I stayed over many of days and nights there. Chris was the sweetest lady! I am praying for her family! R.I.P. sweet lady!
Christine and I were friends in school, were scout leaders for our daughters troop. Chis had many great ideas that became the activities for the girls. She will always be remembered and loved by the many people who had the gift of knowing her. My condolences to the family.
