QUEENSBURY – Sally Marie Wilson, 73, of Queensbury, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2021.

Born October 8, 1947 in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Helen Labruzzo. She was a Hudson Falls High School alumna.

Sally spent over 30 years with Niagara Mohawk in Glens Falls and Warrensburg.   During her many years at NiMo Sally made many life-long friends that will miss her dearly. 

Sally loved her time in Florida, walking the beach and collecting the most beautiful seashells. Her greatest pleasures were her daughter, Jennifer and her granddaughter, Lilyauna.  She was Jennifer’s and Lilyauna’s biggest fans in everything they did.  She would love to watch her granddaughter dance and play field hockey.  Sally and her granddaughter enjoyed shopping and watching Criminal Minds together.   She loved to talk on the phone and would make her daily phone call to everyone.  She would never miss a birthday wish to her friends and family.  Sally was the matriarch of the family being the oldest of 9 children.  Always concerned for others, she was the glue that held our family together.   Known as “Primp” by her siblings, we will miss her nervous energy and weather updates.

Besides her parents, Sally was predeceased by her brothers, Anthony and Michael Labruzzo; her beloved aunts and uncles; her oldest friend, Kathy Paquette and her beloved fur babies, Buffer and Auggie. 

Left to cherish her memories is her only child, her daughter, Jennifer Carusone and husband Peter; her beloved granddaughter, Lilyauna Marie; her sister Bonnie Labruzzo and partner Jerry; her siblings, Gary Labruzzo and Elena Crocitto, Salvatore and his wife, Diane Labruzzo, Thomas Labruzzo, Patty Chiaravalle and Patrick and his wife, Carollee Labruzzo; her soul sister, Deborah Williams as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends and neighbors that she considered family.

Friends may call, Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

The Rite of Committal will follow the mass, at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

HUDSON FALLS – Thomas M. Miller, 68, a lifelong resident of Hudson Falls, passed away July 11, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital, with his family by his side.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.

QUEENSBURY – Nancy G. Allen of Queensbury,  August 21, 1947  – July 10, 2021.    It is with great sadness that we announce that Nancy, a beloved wife, mother, Mema, and friend, passed away at her home, after a gallant fight with cancer.

She was the daughter of George E. and Agnes E. Goodwin of Hubbardton, Vermont.

Nancy graduated from Fair Haven High School in Fair Haven, Vermont in June 1965.  She went on to be a nurse’s aide at Rutland Hospital and worked at her parents’ store/restaurant for years before her marriage to John Allen.  Nancy was a Navy wife for two years and raised three sons.

She  would like to be remembered as caring and thoughtful.   Nancy was dedicated to and adored her sons and grandsons.   She loved to read, shop, sit by the pool in the summer, go out to dinner, enjoy her flower gardens, but most of all, spend time with her family, especially her grandsons.  Nothing brought her more joy than watching them grow and attending all their special events.   Nancy was their biggest cheerleader and fan.

She is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Marie Durfee (Jim) of Middletown, Vermont.

Survivors include her husband John, and sons, John Jr., of Eugene, Oregon, Michael of Central Point, Oregon and Mark (Sheree) and the light of her life, grandsons Skyler and Kyan of Queensbury. She also leaves behind two nephews, Daniel and Christopher Durfee and a beloved niece, Anne Marie Mahar.

At the wishes of Nancy, there will be no calling hours or services.

GREENFIELD CENTER – Vernon Richard “Rick” Palmer, 63, of Greenfield Center, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 3, 2021. 

Born on February 3, 1958 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Vernon and Jean Palmer. He attended South Glens Falls High School.

Rick was a fun and outgoing guy, who could crack a joke in any situation. He was a hard worker and spent most of his life working in the janitorial field. Rick was the happiest when he was outdoors riding around on his four-wheeler and snowmobile with his kids. He spent his days off just tinkering around in the garage. Rick enjoyed watching wrestling, old movies and listening to “good old tunes”, as he would say.

Unfortunately, Rick had a stroke 2 years ago and has suffered with declining health issues since. He spent his remaining days happily living life his way with his very good friend of 40 years, David Ash and Wendy Seney.

Rick is survived by his 6 children, Shawn Palmer and his wife, April of Saratoga Springs, Jason Palmer and his wife, Danielle of Watervliet, Jeffrey Palmer and his wife, Jenn of West Lebanon NH, Brittany Palmer and Donald Palmer, both of Littleton, NH and Jonathan Palmer of Saratoga Springs; his 9 grandchildren, Tyler, Evan, Kody, Parker, Max, Blakeley, Ava, Sophie and Araya; as well as his 2 sisters, Laurie Reiter and her husband, Clarence of Warsaw, NY and Gloria Cole of Glens Falls, NY.

Friends may call, Tuesday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.

A graveside service will be held, following the calling hours, Tuesday, at Southside Cemetery in Glens Falls.

QUEENSBURY- Patricia “Pat” (Harrington) Cenate, 78, of Queensbury, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Born on August 1, 1942 in Hudson Falls, Pat was the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys (Kingsley) Harrington.  She was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School.

On May 27, 2000, Pat married Michael “Mike” Cenate.  They lived in Hartford for many years, until his passing on May 11, 2015.

Pat retired after working for many years in the medical device manufacturing field.

She was devoted to the Lord, attending church regularly.  Pat enjoyed reading and completing puzzles.  She loved spending time with her cats, and hosting family barbeques and dinners, alongside her husband, Mike.  Pat especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Besides her parents and husband, Mike, Pat was predeceased by her brothers, Jay Harrington, Dale Harrington and Gary Harrington; and her grandson, Shawn Saville, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Patti Griffin and her spouse, Jim, Shawn Saville and his spouse, Trisha, Floyd Saville III and his spouse, Lisa and Brian Saville and his partner, Chuck Southard; her siblings, Sherry Havens and her spouse, Wayne, Donna Harrington, Nicky Harrington and his spouse, Linda; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.

A funeral service will be conducted, Tuesday, at 6 p.m., following the calling hours, with the Pastor Paul Tebbano, officiating.

HUDSON FALLS – Robert N. Paquette, 73, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Warren Center in Queensbury.

Born September 15, 1947, in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Norman J. and Mary G. (Massaro) Paquette.

Robert graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1965 and attended classes at ACC.

On July 20, 1968, he married Marsha A. Roach at St. Michael the Archangel Church in South Glens Falls.

Robert was employed by General Electric immediately after high school and he retired from there in October 2003 after 37 years of service.

He was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls and a founding member of the Parish Guild. Robert enjoyed playing racket ball and golf, listening to talk radio and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by a brother who died in infancy.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marsha Paquette of Hudson Falls; his sister, Phyllis Jean Ferguson (James) of El Paso, Texas; his children, Susan Lippy (Craig), Bethany Paquette (David Hayes), and Peter Paquette (Jill); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Lippy, Gregory Lippy (Alison), Caden Paquette, Mason Paquette and Ella Paquette; and his great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Lippy, Aubrey Lippy and Aiden Lippy.

Friends may call, Friday, July 9, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., following the calling hours, at the church.

QUEENSBURY – Gerald “Jerry” Stockman, Sr.,79, formerly of George Street, Fort Ann, passed away on June 26, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 12, 1941 in Fort Edward, he was the son of the late Silas and Edith (Willis) Stockman.

Following graduation from Hudson Falls High School, Class of 1959, he went on to attend New York State Maritime College in Throggs Neck, NY and later graduated from Adirondack Community College with an Associate Applied Science degree in 1963.  Before retiring from North Country Engineering in 2001, he was employed by Decora Corp., Kamtech and Kamyr Inc., where he was an industrial engineer.

Jerry married his soul mate, Janet Reynolds on November 18, 1962, and celebrated 58 wonderful years of marriage.   He loved traveling with Janet, seeing much of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, plus much of the Caribbean on cruise ships.  His greatest vacation was in 2002 when he and Janet took their four children and their spouses and eleven grandchildren on a week vacation to Disney World and on a Disney Cruise.  Jerry lost the love of his life on April 24, 2020.

He also enjoyed working on building and remodeling projects and maintaining his 1932 Dodge Sedan that he owned since he was 18 years old.

Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Padasak and her husband, Steven of Glens Falls, and their children, Ashleigh, Blake, and Baileigh; three sons, Gerald Stockman Jr. and his wife, Mindy of Queensbury, their children, Kelci, Gerald, and Kaylee; David Stockman and his wife, Ronda of Fort Ann, and children Devin, Demi, Lauren, Jenna, and Brody; Paul Stockman and his wife, Jennifer of South Glens Falls, their children, Emilee, Nicholas, and Chloe; his great grandchildren, Emma and Sam Iuliucci; his brother, John Stockman and his wife, Brenda; his brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Erma Reynolds, Juanita Gentile, Jane Reynolds, Dan and Jeannie Reynolds, Doug and Sarah Reynolds, Darlene and Ken Beecher and Barbara Reynolds; his step-mother-in-law, Mary Reynolds; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A Graveside Service at Pine View Cemetery to celebrate Jerry’s life will be celebrated at a later date.

FORT EDWARD – Ciara Elizabeth Bailey Hesse, infant daughter of Donald Hesse III and Monica Lescault and paternal granddaughter of Agnes Hesse and the late Donald Hesse, Jr and maternal granddaughter of Anna Robbins and Joel Robbins, Dennis Lescault, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

FORT EDWARD – Philomena A. Persuitti Rock passed away June 21, 2021, at home, after a short illness.  She was 91 years old.

Born on April 5, 1930 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Angeline (Romanelli) Persuitti.

Philomena, better known as “Minnie”, worked for several restaurants in the Glens Falls region, over the years, as a cook.  She also at one time worked at J & J Lingerie in Glens Falls.

On September 4, 1971, Philomena married the love of her life, Melvin Rock, in Fort Edward.

In her younger years, she enjoyed going bowling.

Besides her parents, Philomena was predeceased by her twin daughters, Angeline Ann and Ella Marie Duckett; a son, Philip Duckett; her sisters, Josephine Persuitti, Mary Ann LaRoe and her brothers, Albert and Anthony Persuitti.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Rock; her grandchildren, Angela and Zachary Duckett, Kyle Bannin, William Trombley, Rebecca Cook Beaty (Shon) and Timothy Cook; her great grandchildren, Joshua Bannin, Kaiden, Nathan and Landon Miner, Cierra, Hannah and Aubrie Beaty and Cameran Cook; her nephews, Larry, Kevin and Peter Persuitti and her nieces, Mary Persuitti, Cathy LaRoe and  Jo-Ann Gregory.

GANSEVOORT – Raymond V. St. John, 86, of Gansevoort, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Slate Valley Center for Rehab and Nursing.

Born on April 3, 1935 in Glens Falls, son of the late Homer and Nellie (Billings) St. John.

In July of 1954, he joined the United States Air Force.

Raymond married Sylvia Phillips in 1960 in Queensbury. They were married for 45 years before she passed away in 2005.

After his time in the Air Force, Raymond was a long-time employee of Griffin Lumber.

One of his hobbies was woodworking, he even had a shop at home. In his younger years, he enjoyed roller-skating and even taught some classes locally.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Thomas St. John; a sister-in-law, Susan St. John; and a great-grandchild, Joseph Ryan Donahue.

Survivors include his children, Sandra Hayes and her husband, Kenneth, Linda St. John and her partner, David Gibbs, and Jennifer St. john; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Todd) Benson, Becky (Joseph) Donahue, Eric, Jr. (Laura) Thompson, Amanda Neron and Lisa (Joseph) Elia; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Samuel St. John; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

As per the family’s request, there will be no services.

HUDSON FALLS – Terry “Noah” Nichols, 67, of Hudson Falls, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at his home.

Born February 10, 1954 in Glens Falls, he was the son Howard T. Nichols and the late Marie (Bentley) Nichols.

He was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School.

Noah had a passion for motorcycles and was a longtime member of the Jury Motorcycle Club.  He enjoyed watching professional wrestling, especially with his grandma Bentley and watching the nightly news.  Noah treasured spending time with his grandchildren and was fondly known to them as “Grampy”.  He was a good friend to many, always looking out for his “brothers” and those he loved. Noah was a devoted son; he never missed a phone call to check in on his parents.  He loved spending time with his dogs.   Noah will be remembered for always living life to its fullest and on his own terms.   His greatest accomplishment in life were his daughters.

Besides his mother, Noah was predeceased by his grandparents.

Survivors include his two daughters, Tiffany Rolleston (Chris) of Glens Falls and Jessica Nichols of Hudson Falls; his grandchildren, Kory, Kaela, Trace, Kassidy and Atticus; his two sisters, Sharlene Hunt (Richard) of Hudson Falls and Pamela Elderkin (Bryan) of Jefferson; his father, Howard T. Nichols of Fort Edward; Noah’s companion, Tina Blackmer; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., in Hudson Falls.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, at 1 p.m., following the calling hours, at the funeral home.

The burial will take place at Moss Street Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury, following the service.

HUDSON FALLS – John “Jack” E. Wemmitt, 83, of Hudson Falls, passed away suddenly, June 17, 2021, at his home.

Born January 21, 1938 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Theodore and Alice Wemmitt.

Jack proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he worked as an electrician, servicing the airplanes.

On July 9, 1961, Jack married the love of his life, Sandra Ross, at Mapletown Methodist Church in Mapletown, PA.

Jack worked for Hercules/Ciba Geigy, in Queensbury, for 23 years as a welder.

He was a mechanic by trade and could often be found fixing cars.  In his younger years, Jack enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiles and pretty much anything with a motor. He made many memories camping with his family throughout the Adirondacks and Vermont.  Jack will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by his brothers, Gordy and Bob Wemmitt and his sister, Kay Garwood.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sandra Wemmitt of Hudson Falls; his children, Jeff Wemmitt of NH, Michele Kowalewski and her husband, Joe of Gansevoort and Ron Wemmitt and his wife, Sabrina of Hudson Falls; his grandchildren, Cory Tyler and his wife, Mikayla and Shelby Mickel and her husband, Kyle; his great grandchildren, Braxton, Lincoln and Bentley; his sister, Judy Wemmittt; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins;

Per Jack’s request, there will be no services.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be announced.

Memorial donations in memory of Jack may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
