HUDSON FALLS – Brandon “BT” St. John, 27, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 14, 2022.

Born on April 18, 1995, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Thomas St. John.

He attended Lake George and Fort Ann Schools, eventually obtaining his GED.

Brandon was an aspiring barber who worked for several local barbers as a Barbers Apprentice.  He had also worked as a landscaper for Nim’s Outdoor Services for a time.

He loved playing basketball and was known for being a skilled player throughout his time at school and shooting hoops recreationally in the neighborhood.  He enjoyed listening to rap music and singing along with his favorite songs, even though he couldn’t carry a tune.  Brandon especially loved spending time with his family out on the farm.  His greatest love was boating on Lake George where he enjoyed taking in all the beautiful scenery around him.  He will be remembered for his bright smile that could light up a room.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Patty and John Donlon.

Brandon is survived by his father, Thomas St. John and his fiancé, Shelley Stepan of Hudson Falls; his girlfriend, Maia McDonald of Whitehall; his siblings, Louis Wright and his wife, Stacy of Hudson Falls, Nichole Wright of VA, Brandi St. John of Queensbury, Josh Krywy and his fiancé, Sarah Newton of Hudson Falls and Jacquelyn Foster and her husband, Matthew of Hudson Falls; his grandfather, Joe St. John and his significant other, Irene Brown of Hudson Falls; his nieces and nephews, Hannah, Kenzie, Natoyia, Wyatt, Layne, Sylas, Kam and McKenzie; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will follow the calling hour on Tuesday at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Flossie Bates, officiating.

GLENS FALLS – Jean Collins McGregor Kelleher left her earthly home on May 15, 2022, taking with her many unforgettable memories, some bittersweet and some delightful treasures.  They shaped who she was.  So many loved ones touched her heart and made her trip in life a beautiful adventure. 

Jean Ida Collins was born April 10, 1934, to the late Myrtle and Allen Collins.  She was their 7^th child and 2^nd girl.  Jean was born in Kingsbury but grew up in Glens Falls.  Jean attended Abraham Wing school where she earned an American Legion award for 8^th grade girl.  She graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1951, earning her Honor Society pin at graduation.  She was also awarded an American Legion ribbon for the best essay history “The 6 Most Outstanding Presidential Elections.”  In 1953 she graduated from Suny Cobleskill with an A.A.S. Degree and orange key.  Her oldest brother, Homer, helped her parents send her to college.  She was an Alpha Sigma Delta and Theta Gamma Sweetheart and her future husband was campus king.  In 1955 she married her college sweetheart, Peter McGregor, and they were blessed with 4 precious children.  In 1982 Peter died tragically, leaving the family shattered.  Grandma said you have 4 good reasons to go on, and with love and support, we survived.  In 1986, Jean remarried David Kelleher, who was also widowed and recovering from a happy marriage to Margaret Kelleher.  They had 3 loving children and 2 granddaughters.  After we all adjusted, life was good and family times returned.  In 2012 we lost Dave tragically to cancer.  Dave showed much strength, faith, and humor during a 3-year battle.  He left us trying to follow his example to go on.   

In 1995 Jean retired from Nynex after working 37 years for the company.  She called it her dream job and had many friends there.  Jean was Telephone Pioneer of the year in 1983.  The Pioneers staged fashion shows where the profits went to local children with serious health problems.  During retirement Jean working at Glens Falls Hospital as a sitter where she met many dedicated people.

Jean taught church school at the Church of the Messiah and helped put on several Christmas pageants.  She loved writing poetry, her union, the C.W.A., politics, Red Sox, making poetic posters for people at the special time in their life, swimming in her backyard pool early a.m. into the fall, making fudge, spending time with all her family and extended family. 

Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her first spouse, Peter McGregor; her second spouse, David Kelleher; her son, Brian McGregor; as well as many brothers, sisters, nephews & nieces. 

Jean is survived by her 1^st marriage by son Bruce & daughter-in-law Mary Ann McGregor; son, Brett McGregor; daughter, Pam & son-in-law Alex Labrum; grandsons Jared & Brandon Labrum.  Through her 2^nd marriage she is survived by son, Dan (Sue) Kelleher, daughter Colleen (Scott) Cushing & daughter, Kathy Smith; granddaughter Jackie (Scott) Cordell & Cassandra (Colin) Donnaruma; and many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly. 

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., on Thursday, May 19^th, 2022, at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

FORT EDWARD – Kelista “Kelly” Elinor (Way) Knurek was born on December 27^th, 1944, and lived to be 77 years old.

Kelly passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 14, 2022.  She passed peacefully at her home with family by her side in Fort Edward.

She suffered from several medical complications.  She was predeceased by her parents, William W. Way, Sr. and Dorothy Ellen (LaMoy) Way of Plattsburgh.  Her sister and brother, Donna Hicks and William Way, Jr., her mother-in-law, Barbara Knurek, her daughter in law, Betty Furnia and father of her children, Gerald Furnia. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Knurek; five children, Karina, Valerie, Cheryl, Jerry and Lori; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her four siblings, Douglas, Mary, Sheila and Terry as well as her dog, Mitzy, who she dearly loved with all her heart.

Kelly served the Lord Jesus for many years.  She was a caregiver, nurse, cook and she enjoyed serving meals to hundreds of people.  She also loved gardening, writing and witnessing to everyone about what Jesus did for her in her life.

Kelly was an incredible generous and giving person.  Operation Christmas Child was near and dear to her heart.

Kelly loved to help people and was a valued member of her church for many years.  Her favorite saying was “find a need and fill it”.  Kelly was loved by many and will be greatly missed forever.  Her legacy and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Calling hours will be Monday, May 23, 2022, from 10 am to 11:30 a.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will follow the calling hour, 11:30 a.m., on Monday at the funeral home.  Session ID – 7929840461 and password will be – Knurek for Zoom meeting, which will be present during a portion of the funeral service.

Burial will follow at 2:30 pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in the town of Stillwater.

Rodman “Roddy” “Rod” J. Wright, 29, of Hudson Falls passed away after a brief illness on May 10th, 2022, at Westchester Medical Center.
Rod was born on December 29th, 1992, at Glens Falls Hospital to the late Joseph P Wright & Jody M (Ward) Wright.
Rod graduated from Hudson Falls Central School in 2011. He went on to work as a cook for Manley’s Restaurant for a few years, a cashier at Hannaford, a delivery driver for I Love NY Pizza, a pizza/line cook at Talk of The Town Restaurant, and a cook at Sally’s Hen House.
Roddy loved fishing, playing video games, collecting Pokemon cards, listening to music, watching action movies and the Mecum’s Car Auctions, vacationing in Old Orchard Beach Maine, spending time with his family, and most of all his beloved daughter Auriella. She was truly his world.
Roddy – My baby boy…my heart is broken. I miss you so much already that my heart hurts. You were my funny, BIG HEARTED, handsome, & loving son who I loved with all of my heart & soul. I’m so sorry that your life was cut way too short and we won’t get to do all of the things that we had planned. I will take excellent care of your little girl and talk about you all the time. I know you will be watching over all of us. Give Dad, Papa, Grandpa, & Jenna big hugs from me. I love you Rodman Joseph forever and ever. RIP my baby boy, until we meet again…Love Ma
Roddy – My heart is completely shattered at the thought of never speaking to you again. I already miss you so much it hurts so badly in a way that can never be explained. I am going to miss our long chats, our times playing video games and making fun of Ma together. I am going to miss your quick-witted jokes, your knowledge, and facts on so many different topics, or just the simple act of showing each other a new song that we found and knew the other would like to hear. I will never let Auriella forget you and all the love and great memories she shares with you. I will take care of Ma and Auriella for you. I hope you are at peace and are reunited with Dad, Grandpa, Papa, and Jenna. I love you so incredibly much big bro… until we meet again. -Cassi

GANSEVOORT – August R. “Bob” Ferenczi, 77, of Gansevoort, moved onto his next adventure on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Saratoga Hospital.

Born on August 6, 1944, in Staten Island, he was the son of the late August and Mary (Sellitti) Ferenczi.

Bob graduated from McKee Vocational Technical School.  He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1967.  Bob was proud to have served in Vietnam with the 196 Light Infantry Brigade.  Due to his honorable service, he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and two Purple Hearts for injuries sustained while serving his country.

On September 17, 1966, he married his sweetheart, Patricia Zito.  This year they would have been married 56 years.

Bob owned and operated Ferenczi Trucking, among other business ventures.  He was an accomplished pilot, who owned August Island with his own private airport.  On this island, one of his greatest accomplishments and sources of joy was building a covered bridge that led to his island.

Bob loved hotrods, rock ‘n roll and his breakfast fly ins.  He had a strong presence when he entered a room.  Anyone that had the pleasure to have met him, would have a story to tell.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Michael Ferenczi and his brother, Joseph Ferenczi.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Jennifer Ferenczi – Jensen and her husband, Dave; a son, Robert Ferenczi and his wife, Randi; he was a loving grandfather of eight grandchildren; a sister, Linda Similly and her husband, Cyrus; several nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as several brothers in law, sisters in law and many friends.

The Rite of Committal with full military honors will be conducted 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in the town of Stillwater.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Memorial donations may be sent a local veterans rehabilitation center.

HUDSON FALLS – Linda Mae (Wood) Plummer, went into the arms of Our Lord, after a very courageous battle with cancer.  Linda had lived on many years after her prognosis with a strong will and for the love of her family.  We were all very fortunate to have this time with her.

Linda was born on May 26, 1947 to Joseph Sr. and Lorraine (Ormsby) Wood, who lived in South Queensbury in an actual basement, newly built for a future establishment.  It later became the Army/Navy Store on Dix Avenue.

Linda was the oldest of seven children.  As the oldest, she had taken care of her youngest siblings when they were babies.

Linda Graduated from Queensbury High School in 1965.

Linda worked a s a young woman at Sears and Roebuck, where she was known to bring her little shadow of a sister, Carol Lee.

Linda was married for 37 years to her late ex-husband, Albert Plummer, where she went on to have her family of five sons; Scott, Chris, Brian Patrick and Nicolas.  Having five boys kept her plenty busy, needless to say.  She was a wonderful, compassionate and caring mamma.

When her youngest boys were little, she worked for Clearview Janitorial with her sister, Joann and her brother Tim.  Her oldest son, Scott, was a built-in sitter for his brothers and for that she was grateful.

After raising her family, Linda had a career as the Opening Receptionist and office Manager for Adirondack Nautilus in Queensbury, where she worked for over 17 years before retiring.

After being retired, Linda fully enjoyed her grandchildren, which there are eight of.  Linda was a wonderful seamstress, crocheter and knitter and has made some beautiful things for people. She loved these talents, she would tell you were acquired by her late mother, Lorraine.

Linda was known to be a woman of class, being a very good dresser and everything needed to match.  Her personability was more reserved and was sweet in nature. Linda opened her home to all visitors for coffee, donuts, etc, and no one left empty handed. She always had a bag full of goodies to send you out with before you left.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Brian Plummer and Christopher Plummer; her brother, Ed Wood, Sr., and her sister, Carol (Wood) Cagle

Linda is survived by her sons, Scott Plummer, Patrick (Jessica) Plummer and Nicolas (Rachel) Plummer; her sisters and brothers, Joann (Wood) St. John, Joseph T. Wood, Jr., Tim (Melissa) Wood, and Kim Sue Wood; her grandchildren, Mikayla, Bryan, Emma, Olivia. Lucy, Aliza, Patrick, and Thomas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, on the Park in Hudson Falls.

Friends are invited to gather to share memories after the Mass at the home of her son, Scott at 1 Mohican Terrace in Hudson Falls.

HUDSON FALLS – Cynthia S. Hummel, 64, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, May 8, 2022 at her home.

Born on February 22, 1958 in Granville, she was the daughter of the late Oswald and Opal (Myers) Williams. Cynthia grew up in Granville where she graduated from Granville High School and went on to Adirondack Community College, earning an Associate Degree in Journalism.

Upon graduation from college, she went to work at the Glens Falls Business Journal. A people person by nature, Cynthia went on to work in many social facets including the ARC in Fort Edward and Granville as well as local area convenience stores. Cynthia enjoyed trivia and watching Jeopardy. She loved gardening and was always up for taking a ride looking for adventure. She had many pet dogs over the years and she loved them all, especially her dog Zoey.

She is survived by her children, David Hanchey (Dawn Van Tassell) of Queensbury; Michael Aaron DuBay (Lee) of New Hampshire, and Alex Hummel of Troy; her sister, Kathy; and many close friends that were there for her at her time of need, including Evelyn Hafner and Marie Bachich.

A celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held at a later date.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Betty Jean Combs, 97, formerly of Fortsville and South Glens Falls, went into the arms of the Lord, on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2022, at The Wesley Health Care Center, Saratoga Springs, NY.  After moving from her home in South Glens Falls, Betty resided at The Oaks Independent Living Facility in Fort Edward for nearlyfifteenyears and then to The Landing, Assisted Living Facility in Queensbury before moving to Wesley Health Care.

Born on February 14, 1925, in Fort Anne, NY, she was the daughter of the late Beecher H. and Matilda (Tripp) Combs.

Until retirement, Betty was employed at General Electric in Fort Edward, NY, for most of her working years.

Betty loved a variety of sports in her younger years including skiing, golfing, ladies softball and for many years, participating on a bowling league with her sister, Ruth.  She was also an avid camera buff and belonged to a local Photography Club.  Betty, along with her longtime friend Georgiana Golden (Georgie), not only loved taking photographs but developing her own pictures.  Her many photos and slides were carefully categorized and she loved hosting “movie nights” for family and friends.  She also enjoyed going to the theatre and attended many concerts.

At the age of fourteen while in school, Betty learned how to hook rugs.  She later joined clubs and became quite skilled in this somewhat lost art, creating a number of beautiful rugs which are still enjoyed by family members today.

Betty belonged to the Fortsville United Methodist Church for many years.  Each Saturday evening (in season) she would walk to the church with her mother and sister bringing bouquets of their homegrown flowers for the Sunday service.  For years Betty worked on the “Apple Pie Committee”, beginning in the early morning hours baking many pies to profit their small church.  While still warm they would deliver to anxiously awaiting loyal customers.

Betty did a fair amount of traveling with family and friends to include visiting the Hawaiian Islands, an Alaskan Cruise, and trips to Florida, Maine and throughout New England.  She loved spending time with family and friends, going to the beach and making her homemade ice cream, delighting all who were present, especially her nephew and two nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Roger B. Combs and sister, Ruth C. Combs.  Betty was also predeceased by her sister-in-law, Marion (Geer) Combs as well as many cousins with whom she was very fond of.

She is survived by her nephew, Michael Combs and his wife, Bonnie, of Greer, SC; her two nieces, Martha Boyd and her husband, Dick, of Bolton Landing, NY and Sharon Combs of Tavares, FL.  She is also survived by her cousin, Craig Leslie of Lakeland, FL, Wayne Tripp of Cedar Grove, WI, several great-nieces and great-nephews and many extended family members.

Our special thank-you goes to Michelle Call who was a true friend and companion to Betty.  When Betty saw her coming, she would smile and shout, “Here’s my friend, here’s my friend!!”  Michelle spent much time with Betty during her final days.  Thank you, Michelle, for all you did to comfort our Aunt.

HUDSON FALLS – George Andrew Barot, Sr., 86, of Hudson falls, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2022  in the home he and his wife built, after a short, valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Hudson Falls on July 10, 1935 to George Alvin and Lily Ann Regan Barot.

George graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1953. In 1956, he went to work for the State of New York, first in the power plant at Comstock (Great Meadow), then at Wilton Developmental Center. He retired after thirty- seven years only to begin what he called “the best years of my life” delivering meals for Washington County Office for the Aging, He felt great satisfaction that he not only brought “his people” a meal, but also a smile and kind word each day. They touched his heart and he touched theirs. He retired from his second career after twenty-five years of service.

George was a dedicated son, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and brother that worked very hard to provide what his family needed. He was our mentor, teacher, family historian, babysitter, and handyman. He had a lifelong passion for cars, especially antique cars, and Chevrolets.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Janice Cartier Barot; his youngest child, Brian Barot; his sister, Mary-Kate Reed and her husband, Floyd; and brothers in law, Albert Brownell and Chuck Fuller.

He is survived by his children, Valerie (Jeff) Zeno, Vanessa Barot Ross, George (Sue) Barot, and Edward (Lori) Barot; his grandchildren, Jason (Kate) Zeno, Jeffrey (Anna) Zeno, Jamie Zeno-Derway (Joe), Brieanna (Dan) Thompson, George (Ladyne) Barot, III, Christy (Aaron) Coulson, and Jason (Jennifer) Cross; His sisters, Sheila Brownell and Mary Fuller; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and siblings-in-law.

Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls. A service will follow the calling hours at 7:00 pm.

Rite of Committal will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Moss Street Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

GANSEVOORT – Margaret Joan Daly McCullough, 61, of Holly Drive, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

Born May 13, 1960, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late James and Patricia (Minnis) Daly.

Margaret was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School. She then attended Siena College where she obtained her bachelor’s degree.

On August 21st, 1981, she married Steven McCullough, also of Hudson Falls, at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Margaret worked for Glens Falls Hospital as a computer administrator, as well as for several other local medical companies over the duration of her career. Margaret was a great lover of the outdoors and an environmental advocate. She enjoyed long walks in Moreau Lake State Park near her home and had built an impressive collection of nature photography from her adventures there. One of her greatest passions was kayaking, and she and her husband Steve enjoyed many years of kayak trips and camping throughout the Adirondacks and in Florida. Margaret loved spending time on Lincoln Pond, where she and her extended family have shared a cherished camp for over thirty years. The time and care she put into her garden at her home showcased her love and appreciation for nature.  Margaret held a deep appreciation for the arts. She particularly enjoyed classical piano music and was an avid piano player. She was a continual supporter of The Strand Theater in Hudson Falls since its restoration began and has been thrilled to witness and be part of its growth in recent years. Her appreciation for the local arts extended to the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra, of which she and her family were patrons for a number of years. Margaret’s dedication to her local community included her love of the Crandall Library, which she visited often and which she took action to support.

Margaret enjoyed a fulfilling career and was rewarded the gift of early retirement.  Since then, she has been living out her dream of traveling throughout the country in her camper with her husband visiting small towns, patronizing local farmer’s markets and businesses, and exploring some of the country’s best bike paths.

Most recently, she had been spending her winters in the Florida sunshine doing the things she loved most with her husband and enjoying the exotic wildlife.  While there, a favorite pastime had become waking early in the morning and listening to the peaceful sound of birds singing.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents; her brother Thomas Daly; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 41 years, Steven McCullough of Gansevoort; her children, Erin McCullough of Queensbury and Kevin McCullough of Gansevoort; her siblings, James and Janet Daly III of Hudson, Massachusetts; Peter Daly of Hudson Falls; Matthew and Bobbie Daly of Peru and Carolyn Needham of Great Britain; her beloved grand-kitty, Willow; her aunts Janet Hunt and Joan Minnis, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

GLENS FALLS – Rosemary Burch, 64, of Glens Falls, has gone fishing in better waters, on May 3, 2022, at the Glen Falls Hospital.

Born on August 30, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Agnes (Nollett) Burch.

Rosemary loved the outdoors, most times she could be found camping on the Hudson River, fishing wherever she could find a good fishing hole to drop her line or sitting around a bonfire enjoying conversation with family and friends.  She was known for always helping her friends and family out whenever she could.  Rosemary made sure her loved ones had what they needed.  She will be remembered for her generous heart and infectious smile.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Eileen Burch and her brother, Rick Burch.

Survivors include her children, Shawn Burch and his fiancé, Carri Brown of Gansevoort; George Allen of Glens Falls and Joe Eastman of Glens Falls; her grandchildren, Jennifer Rose, Diesel and Molly; her siblings, Ronald Burch and his wife, Pat of Queensbury; Charlotte Barry of Hudson Falls, Kathy Chard and her husband, Matt of Hudson Falls and Nancy Mickel of Hudson Falls; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life for Rosemary will be held, 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Rosemary’s home, 14 Spring Street in Glens Falls.

Burial will be at Pine View Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

MOREAU & GREENWICH – Eleanor Staats, 93, formerly of Greenwich and more recently a resident of the Home of The Good Shepherd, passed away  on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Born on January 31, 1929, in Jamaica, Queens, she was the only child of the late Henry and Thelma (Huested) Peterson.

While living in Queens, she married Edward “Crazy Ed” Staats on September 21, 1957.  Ed passed away on August 30, 2021, after 63 years of marriage.  They shared a wonderful life together as soulmates, rarely spending time apart.   You could not speak of Eleanor without mentioning Ed.  One of their favorite adventures was traveling to Florida where they enjoyed the warm sunshine.  

While living in New York City, Eleanor worked as a bookkeeper and later as a teller, at the Bank of Manhattan.  After her husband’s retirement from Wall Street, Eleanor and Ed moved to this area.

While living upstate, they made many wonderful friends and many warm memories to remember.  Eleanor was blessed with family members and friends who were so kind and always took time out of their busy lives to care for her and Ed.

The day before Eleanor passed, she said to Dr. Tom, “I went to heaven, it was beautiful”.    God Bless Eleanor, who is now with her beloved, Ed.

Eleanor will be missed by her brother-in-law, Donald Staats and his wife, Marge; as well as several nieces and nephews, especially her nephew, Michael Smith; her longtime friends, Carol O’Kane of Ohio and Dr. Thomas Quaresima and his wife, Barb of Queensbury; and those that took wonderful care of Eleanor, Peggy, Shelly and Whitey.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Glens Falls Cemetery on Bay Street, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. 

Eleanor’s family suggests that memorial donations in her memory be made to the charity of one’s choice.

FORT ANN – Gloria J. (Wells) Welch, 65, of Dewey’s Bridge Road, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on April 27, 1957 in Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Coburn) Beaumont.

Gloria graduated from high school in New Jersey and soon after enlisted in the United States Navy.  She was so very proud to have served her country.   Following her honorable discharge, Gloria met and married Frank Wells.  He passed away on August 4, 2014.

Gloria worked for many years at Stewarts Shops in Hartford and Whitehall.  More recently, she was employed at Cumberland Farms in Fort Ann.  While working at Cumbys, Gloria made many wonderful friends.  She cherished her co-workers and those friendly customers that she served.

In 2016, Gloria lost her son, Paul in a tragic accident.  Paul and Gloria had a close special relationship, and she was broken when he passed away.   Her current husband, Tom Welch, helped her through this difficult time.  They began as friends and as their friendship grew, they became soulmates.  She now had someone to lean on, laugh with and share her life.

Besides her parents, her husband and her son, Gloria was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Grace.

Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas Welch of Fort Ann; Jared Roberts, whom she though of as a son; her nieces and nephews, Virginia Hughes and her husband, James, Kelsey Grace, Colleen Cole and her husband, Andrew, Christine Mott and her husband, Tom, Tracey Drange and her husband Mikal, Anthony O’Neill and his partner, Michelle, Christopher O’Neill and his wife, Nareeza, Lia Dohery and her husband, Pat, Mark Wells, Jason Wells and Joe Wells.

Friends may call on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates, officiating.

Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Edward will be at a later date.
