HUDSON FALLS – Mary Ferraro Coso, 83, who resided with her daughter, and son in law, Nancy and John Rosati and her grandson, Sean Daley, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 1, 2014.
Born on September 7, 1931, in Canajoharie, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Myrtle (Pitcher) Ferraro.
Mary worked at Scott Paper in Fort Edward for over 25 years where she served as secretary of her union.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward. Mary enjoyed crafting, knitting, sewing, drinking a good cup of tea, going to the Racino, and spending time with her, Sean, Most of all she loved her being surrounded by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Philip Wesley Coso and her sister Phyllis Memrick.
She is survived by her four daughters who considered her the wind beneath their wings, Cheri Newell and her husband, Mike of Argyle, Sandy Roberts and her husband, Bill of Fort Ann, Vicki Reynolds of Hudson Falls, Nancy Rosati and her husband, John of Hudson Falls; her grandchildren, Jason Girard, Danielle Reynolds, Shannon Reynolds, Sean Daley, John Carl Rosati and Anthony Rosati; her great grandchildren, Hayleigh Girard and Dylan Girard; a sister, Frances Hill of Enterprise, AL; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special friends, Bev, Alice and Hazel as well as her many friends at the Scott Luncheons.
There are no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church on Broadway in Fort Edward with Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.
The Rite of Committal will take place at the convenience of the family at St. Peter’s/St. Paul’s Church in Canajoharie.
