QUEENSBURY – James B. Clear, 60, of Algonquin Drive, went into the arms of the Lord, on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born on February 13, 1957, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late James and Katherine Clear.
James was a 1975 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country.
On March 9, 1985, he married Jill Weir, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.
James worked as a Paper Technical Specialist for Chemtreat, based in Glen Allen, Virginia.
He was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.
James enjoyed boating anywhere he could bring his fishing pole and camping with his family. He was active in youth baseball and the travel league with his son, Todd. Most of all, James loved his family, they were the center of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jill Clear of Queensbury, his two children, Katie Davies and her husband, Tom of Ballston Lake and Todd Clear of Queensbury; he was a proud grandfather of Sean James Davies; his siblings, Vivian and Larry LaRose, Paulette and Henry Pelkey, Marianne Rourke, Patrick and Rose Clear and Joseph and Lisa Clear; his special uncle, Joseph Corsall; his three lifelong friends, Mike and Arlene Archambault and Paul Van Arsdal.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the park in Hudson Falls, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.
The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
