HUDSON FALLS – Audie Allen Diffee, 73, from Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully March 1, 2025, with his loving wife and family by his side. He worked at CR Bard, Irving Tissue, and Warren/Washington County BOCES. He also had a side business, A&A Diffee Pressure Washing and Painting. He was a therapeutic foster parent for over thirty years for Warren County and Berkshire Farms Therapeutic Foster Care program. He cared for many children that came to his home. Which he enjoyed doing.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed taking care of his mom. Having her over for dinners, holidays, Sunday car rides, seeing Elvis impersonators, and going to car shows were just a few of the good times. He also had many great times with his twelve brothers and sisters. He loved them all and made sure they knew they could count on him.
Audie was a great family man and loved providing for his wife of fifty-five years. From day one to the end, it was the most beautiful love two people could ever have. It was a true love story. Always holding hands and loving each other. His whole life was about his wife and children. Making his home beautiful building something new all the time.
He loved doing activities like camping, fishing, gardening, swimming, making jokes, and cook-outs. He loved going to his sons wrestling meets and baseball games growing up as well as the girls dance recitals and cheerleading. When his grandchildren came, it made his life even better. From teaching them how to use a hammer to making balloon ghosts and hanging them outside at Halloween time, to watching them play their sports. He also loved making his weekly phone calls to make sure they didn’t need anything or just to talk.
He had a great relationship with his children and grandchildren. He taught them good work ethics, kindness, and compassion. There was never a disagreement, always uplifting positive moments. He was always patient, even when teaching the kids how to drive a standard car.
In his younger days, he enjoyed working on cars. Especially body work, painting, and pinstriping. He also liked playing pinochle and pitch with his friends. He loved riding over to Granville to spend the day with his brothers and sisters. Everyone would meet up and have a good time. There is a million stories of love and laughter for his family and friends to look back on and remember his great life.
