HUDSON FALLS – Adam John Shaw, 41, of Hudson Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born September 15, 1982, in Glens Falls, Adam was the son of John D. Shaw and Dorothy A. Tucker and the stepson for 29 years to Gary Tucker of Fort Edward. He was a 2000 graduate of Hudson Falls High School.
Adam was a talented autobody technician who was known to be a jack of all trades. He was good at everything he put his mind to. He loved to cook and grill for his family and girlfriend.
Adam looked forward to playing golf with his stepfather, Gary. He enjoyed shopping for shoes and hats and had the collection to prove it. Adam was a big kid at heart and loved watching horror and scary movies, eating candy, and drinking energy drinks.
He will be remembered for having a heart of gold and being eager to help those in need. Adam was a generous and dedicated son, boyfriend, and friend. His sweet, sly smile and his quiet gentle soul will be forever missed.
He was predeceased by his aunt, Susan Hermance, his cousin, Connor Neron and his grandfather, Edward Hermance.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Amy Ogburn; his aunts, Elizabeth (Jeff) LaPointe and Carole (Tom) Bolen; his uncle, Ed Hermance; his stepbrothers, Gary (Susan) Tucker, Jr., Keith (Jenn) Tucker, and Patrick (Cellesse) Tucker; his grandmother, Sarah Hermance; his niece and nephew, Cassandra, and Greyson Ogburn; his longtime girlfriend, Nicole and several cousins.
Calling hours with the Tucker and Shaw families will be on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday, with the Reverend Flossie Bates, officiating.
Following the service, the burial will take place at Pine View Cemetery in the town of Queensbury.

Adam was a remarkable soul and an amazing man. I am so grateful I was able to know him and spend time with him. He is gone too soon and will be truly missed. His family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
