FORT ANN – Aaron A. Prince, 59, of Fort Ann, died October 11, 2023, at 6:02pm in Glens Falls Hospital after his hard-fought battle with a very aggressive form of small cell lung cancer.
Born June 24, 1964, in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late Roger and Nancy (Tholen) Prince.
Aaron was a graduate of Wooster High School, in Danbury, CT where his parents ran the art department. He went on to attend college at the University of Connecticut (UCONN) and subsequentially successfully owned and operated his own computer graphics business, along with his longtime companion, Katherine Corney.
Aaron had a brilliant mind, a huge heart, a sharp sense of humor and a vast love of all music and art. With his welcoming, open personality and very generous nature, he made friends with everyone, everywhere he went worldwide, always jumping in to help, trouble shoot, and problem solve. He adored all dogs (his in particular) and loved his daughter beyond measure. He was extremely impressed by and proud of her and very honored to be her father.
Aaron did not wish to have any services held but at your next great meal out with friends or at a concert, or whilst adopting a pet, please do think of him and the good times shared. Katherine will do her best to gather people in his honor, on job sites, as well as at home, both upstate and in NYC, to celebrate his life.
Besides his parents, Aaron was predeceased by his sister, Susan Prince Thompson (NH).
Survivors include his life partner for 42 years, Katherine Corney of NYC and Fort Ann; their daughter, Cassidy Jane M. Prince of Fort Ann, NYC and Raleigh, NC; his brother, Craig Peyton (NY); his sisters, Sara Peyton Snyder (CA), Martha Peyton Reynolds (NH), and Liz Prince Ruyle (NY), along with many nieces and nephews.

Although we have not seen each other for a long time, we restarted our relationship by email the phone over the past two years. Aaron was friendly, outgoing and wanted to expand our contacts. When young, he visited with our family on vacation in New England. In later years, I learned that he arranged meetings for GTE Sylvania, a contractor with whom I worked closely. Aaron loved dogs as well as Catherine and Cassidy. We can appreciate that as we are also dog people.
Very sad to receive the news of Aaron’s passing. I worked with him and Katherine annually in Orlando for many many years (and MANY long hours!) Always enjoyed him and considered him a friend as much as a customer. Sincere condolences to Katherine and family.
