HUDSON FALLS – LeRoy Edward Catone, Sr., 67, of Hudson Falls, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness.
Born on August 25, 1955, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Anthony Leo Catone, Sr., and Hazel May (Yager) Catone.
LeRoy was a driver and mechanic for many years, working for several local companies, including, CWI, the Great Escape and Hulo Transportation.
He enjoyed gambling and tinkering on mechanical devices. LeRoy loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Most of all, LeRoy loved spending time with his fiancé Tina Rivers.
In addition to his parents and wife, Sandra Lyn Catone, he was predeceased by his sister, Josephine Lampmon and his best Friend Kenny VanNess.
He is survived by his children, LeRoy Catone, Jr., of Granville, Patricia- May (Michael Washburn) Catone of Hudson Falls and Matthew Catone of Queensbury; his grandchildren, LeRoy III, Damien, Autumn and Lucas; his brothers and sisters, Anthony, Alice, Cindy and Judy and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Following the memorial services on Monday, all are welcome to a gathering at Leroy’s home at 13 Mosher Lane in Hudson Falls.
Burial will be in the spring, at Moss Street Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.
