You were taken from us so quickly. Our hearts are broken but you’ve taught us to be strong. I am full of emotion and lost for words. You’ve touched so many peoples lives in your 74 years from fighting fires, attending hockey games, and at Kampersville. No matter where you were people left knowing you.

I know that one day I will hear you say, see ya later and love ya. I love you too Dad!

  2. Thinking of Ruthie and the rest of the family at this sad time. Have many fond memories of Red from taking him to the Haunted house for the first time!, Black Friday shopping, the clambake sleeping over while I was going to nursing school, playing cards and having coffee and dessert at Tommy’s, him stopping by the camper to see what I was making for dinner and then sharing meals on the weekends when Ruthie was “home”, but most of all driving the tractor at Kampersville. He was a big hearted man who always wanted to help everyone. See ya later. Love ya

Lucky was an awesome guy he used to love to joke around with me at Grand Union all the time. Even after they closed when I saw him he always gave me a big hug. He will be missed.

  8. When I think of Lucky , it’s his contagious smile, his interesting stories and his Cajun Shrimp, oh so delicious! He touched many hearts, certainly mine, and if you knew him, you know that your paths passed for a reason. I’m so very sorry for you Ruthie and your family, as you know they are very dear to me. May God comfort and guide you. With love.

  9. Michael Schermerhorn says:

Lucky was my neighbor when I was just a kid growing up on Ninth Avenue in Hudson Falls. I remember how much he loved his family, especially his three daughters that were close to my age.
I pray that he rests in peace and that his daughters can get through this tough time knowing that he is OK and he is looking down on them with great pride as he loved them so much.
On behalf of the entire Schermerhorn Family please accept our most sincere condolences.
