Our heart goes out to our brothers and sisters who are mourning the loss of our sister Dot Burch. Her serving to help others serve Jehovah is a blessing that Jehovah will remember in his time when He brings Sister Burch and others back from the grave. Her next moment of life will be in the new system under righteous conditions with the promise of living forever. May this be of comfort to the family and the congregation as we look to the new order of endless life under the Kingdom Government.
I got to know Dot while she was a resident of the Stanton, when I performed music there. She was always there with a smiling face, and always a hug to give. I would occasionally play a song by Creedence Clearwater Revival called ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain’ (‘comin’ down a sunny day’), and she gave me a different perspective of what could be seen as a sort of ‘dark’ song. She said, yes… when you see the rain coming down on a sunny day… THAT’s when you see a rainbow. So the last time I saw her, when I performed at the Stanton in January, I dedicated the song to her. We’ll miss her! Condolences to the family.
Beth, Lou and I are so sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a sweet sister. We have fond memories of her. We look forward to seeing her again in perfect health. Much love to you and your family.
So sorry to hear of Dot’s passing. Just saw her a couple weeks ago at the Stanton when My friend Pete was playing there. She always had a hug for us and if I wasn’t with Pete because of work, she would always ask where I was. The last time we played there we setting up and Dot says to me that it was about time I came again. What an inspiration she was even if she wasn’t feeling up to par at times. Going to miss her smile and her welcome hugs. She will always hold a special place in my heart. RIP Dot.
