QUEENSBURY – William J. Bordeau, 79, of the Boulevard, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on July 3, 1937, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Loretta Bordeau.
William was a graduate of Glens Falls High School in 1955. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1955 and remained active until 1961. William was a very patriotic man, who loved serving his country.
William was united in marriage to Kay Alden in 1996 and they shared 20 wonderful years together.
He was employed by Doty Machines in Fort Edward. William truly enjoyed the people he worked with and was also able to use his creative talents.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his two brothers, and his sister.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kay Bordeau of Queensbury; his son, Douglas Bordeau; two brothers, Sanford Bordeau and Edward Bordeau and his wife, Donna; his sister, Sharon Havens and her husband, Robert; step-children, Jack McDonald and his wife, Lisa, Michael McDonald and his wife, Bonnie, Mark McDonald and his wife, Kim and Bill McDonald; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be private.
A burial will take place at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in the spring.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
