GLENS FALLS – Reginald E. LaFountain, 76, of Glens Falls, went into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness.
Born on January 3, 1940, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Erwin and Beatrice LaFountain
He attended Queensbury High School.
On December 30, 1962, he married Gloria Volpe at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson Falls.
Reggie worked for many years for the James River Corp in South Glens Falls.
He was a member of the Moreau Emergency Squad as well as the Glens Falls/Queensbury Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elk Lodge #81.
He enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casinos and especially attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He liked shopping and following the New York Jets. He was an amazing person, an amazing dad and loved everyone like they were his own.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years. Gloria LaFountain of Glens Falls; his children Ricky LaFountain and his companion, Misty, of Florida, Regina Wells and her companion Dave Almy of Glens Falls, Robbie LaFountain and his fiancé, Amanda Koliada of Glens Falls and Robin LaFountain and her companion, Angel Gonzalez of Glens Falls; a son in law, Morris Wells of Fort Ann; a daughter in law, Stacey LaFountain of Glens Falls; his grandchildren, Jacob Wells, Alicia LaFountain, Rachel (Josh) Warren, Jessica Sylvester, Jeremy Wells and his girlfriend, Rachel Arthur, Dominic LaFountain, Robbie LaFountain and Cecilia Gonzalez; his great grandchildren, Kole Wells, Brayden Vaughn and Marlee Warren; two brothers, John LaFountain and his significant other, Elaine Jackson of Florida and Charlie LaFountain of Glens Falls; and his beloved dog, Rocky; his sister in law, Marie Luedeke; his brother in law, Monty Volpe; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, from 4-7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Funeral services will be conducted on 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

So sorry for your lost . I wish I was able to meet him again . I am his cousin and loss. My mother last year and she was the last of the six the Baby of the Lafountain.
