HUDSON FALLS – Jeannette A. Archambault, 87, of LaCrosse St., went into the arms of the Lord, at the Fort Hudson Health Care Facility on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.
Born on August 5, 1927 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late George J. and Beatrice (Ashe) LaPoint.
On November 27, 1947, she married Alfred J. Archambault in St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls. They have been married 67 wonderful years.
Jeannette was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.
Until 1985, she was employed as a cafeteria cook at Imperial Wall Paper Company in Queensbury. Jeannette was a wonderful cook who could make shoe leather taste good. She also enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Every year, Jeannette canned 80 quarts of tomatoes for future use in the kitchen. She was a quiet woman with a great sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Marjorie Fitzgerald and Helene Ringer.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Alfred “Al” J. Archambault of Hudson Falls; a daughter, Diane M. A. Archambault of Australia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are welcome to call from 4 to 7pm on Friday, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the park in Hudson Falls.
The Rite of Committal will be in the spring at St. Paul’s Cemetery on Vaughn Rd. in the town of Kingsbury.
