Estelle L. Lindsey, 81, a longtime resident of Seventh Street, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Fort Hudson Health Care Facility in Fort Edward.
Born April 8, 1931, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Anthime and Clara (Pyant) Lemery.
She was a 1950 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Glens Falls.
On Oct. 31, 1953, she married Paul Lindsey at St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls.
In her earlier years, Estelle worked for First National Bank in Glens Falls. Later, she was employed as a monitor for the Hudson Falls School system.
She enjoyed quilting and received several awards for her quilts. She loved her grandchildren and taking walks.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond, John, Armand, Lawrence and Andre Lemery.
Estelle is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul E. Lindsey Sr. of Hudson Falls; her sons, Paul E. Lindsey Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Chittenango, Peter J. Lindsey and his significant other, Peggy Mattison, of Hudson Falls, and Phillip A. Lindsey and his wife, Shelly, of South Glens Falls; her grandchildren, Daniel Lindsey and his wife, Katie, MA2 Carson Lindsey, USN, Paul B. Lindsey, William Lindsey, Brittany Lindsey and her significant other, Shane Maynard, Sarah Lindsey, and Nicholas Lindsey; two great-grandchildren, Payton and Hailey; one brother, George Lemery of South Glens Falls; one sister-in-law, Barbara Lemery of Hudson Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Carleton Funeral Home Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, on the park, in Hudson Falls, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.
The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Glens Falls.

Is this the sister of my friend George Lemery who lived at 411 Rimington Ln in Decatur, GA? I’m trying to find George. I miss him. I don’t know if he went to see his mom or not. I could tray and track George down there.
