HUDSON FALLS – William S. Hoffer, Sr., 47, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 11, 2013 at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on August 9, 1965, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Elaine (Evans) Hoffer and the late Robert E. Hoffer.
On August 10, 1996, he married Renee Ryder.
Bill most recently worked for Priority Electric in Wilton.
He loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Most of all, he loved being with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Renee (Ryder) Hoffer of Hudson Falls; his mother Elaine (Evans) Hoffer of Hudson Falls; his children, Alyssa Hoffer, Samantha Hoffer, Scott Hoffer and William Hoffer, Jr., all of Hudson Falls; his brothers and sisters, Jeffrey Hoffer and his fiancé, Lisa Stone of Pottersville, Debbie Mosher and her husband, Ed of Maine, Elissa Gadow and her husband, Michael of California and Robert E. Hoffer, III and his wife, Amy of Moreau; and several aunts uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
A prayer will be offered at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Bill’s family requests that memorial donations in his memory be made to the charity of one’s choice.

So sorry that Billy was taken from ALL of his family at such a young age. Our daughter Elissa Gadow will feel his loss all her life and our hearts go out to his Mother – to lose her husband and now a son – our prayers are with you all.
