FORT EDWARD – Timothy Michael McDonald, 52, of Fort Edward, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born May 30, 1962, in Glens Falls, he was the son of JoAnn (Welch) O’Connell and the late James Enos McDonald.
For many years Timothy worked together with his brother, James, for Heritage Painting. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, reading, cooking and tinkering with anything that had a motor.
Besides his fathers, Timothy was predeceased by his brother, James McDonald, his nephew, James, his step father, Willis “Bumper” O’Connell, his grandparents, Melvin and Katherine Welch and James and Genevieve McDonald.
Survivors include his mother, JoAnn O’Connell of Fort Edward; his sister, Suzanne Wells and her finance, David Maye, of Fort Edward; his brother, William K. O’Connell of Fort Edward; his step mother, Francine McDonald of Fort Ann; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; his good friend, John Gontz, who was with him to the end; as well as his dog, Sooneer.
Friends may call on Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.
The funeral service will follow calling hours, at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at a later date, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

JoAnn, our hearts are broken for you again. Timmy has fought many a battle and needed rest. His pain is gone. He is now with some of his favorite people he has missed and what a crew that is ! Remember the good times and wonderful memories.
