QUEENSBURY & SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Theodore W. White, age 72, of Queensbury and formerly of South Glens Falls, passed away on October 18, 2016, at Glens Falls Hospital, with his loyal wife by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 12, 1943, son of the late Earl White and Ruth (McCann) White-Gillette.
After high school graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving 21 years and after a short retirement in 1982 he worked for the Federal Government from 1983 until retiring in 2003.
Theodore married Catherine Hanley on December 29, 1964.
Because of his government service, he and his family traveled much of the world. Theodore loved fishing and hunting, especially deer. He loved taking long drives. He lived his life his way, never changing, in spite of his illness.
Theodore was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Catherine White of Queensbury; his children, Cathleen Burns and her husband, Tim of South Glens Falls, Theodore Shawn White and his wife, Beth of San Antonio, TX, Patricia Cady of Queensbury; his six grandchildren, Caitlin, Erin, Theodore Connor, Victoria, Alexis, Ethne; his four sisters and five brothers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-cousins.
Burial with full military honors will take place at 2:30 pm on November 18, 2016, at Gerald B. H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Stillwater.
