HUDSON FALLS – Ralph N. Whiting, 74, of Hudson Falls, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
Born on January 26, 1939, in Hudson Falls, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace (LeValley) Whiting.
Ralph worked for over thirty years at Decora, formerly located in Fort Edward.
He was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church, formerly in Glens Falls, where he was active in the Diocesan Development Program.
Ralph enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. His greatest joy was the time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a great grandchild, Aiden Ryan Perry, his brothers, Frank, Richard, George and Douglas Whiting and a sister, Dorothy Whiting Rowe.
Survivors include his wife Patricia; two sons, Jeff Whiting and his wife, Kathy of Hudson Falls and Christopher Whiting and his wife, Tammy of Hudson Falls; his daughters, Rose Whiting Wells and her husband, Sam of Hudson Falls, Theresa Whiting of Hudson Falls, Stephanie Pidgeon and her husband, Matthew of South Glens Falls and Elizabeth Cenate and her husband, Joe of Hudson Falls; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Harriet (Whiting) Nichols of Queensbury; two brothers, Raymond Whiting and his wife, Margaret of Queensbury and Robert Whiting and his wife, Beverly of South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Rite of Committal will take place in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, later in the spring.
Ralph’s family suggests that memorial donations in his memory be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, New York 13220.
