Leo Alexandre St. Louis

HUDSON FALLS – Leo Alexandre St. Louis, 89, of Hudson Falls passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

Born on May 7, 1929 in Hudson Falls, he was the son of the late Adolphus and Julia (Blondin) St. Louis.

Following graduation from Hudson Falls High School, Leo served in the U.S. Army for two years and then began what would become a life-long career in construction, building many homes throughout the area for more than 50 years.

On April 19, 1952, he married Ruth Marie Gaulin.

He was a loyal NY Giants fan and an avid painter/plumber/builder and mess maker.

Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Ronald St. Louis and three sisters, Noella Townsend, Theresa Gregorio, and Lucia Jones.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 66 years, Ruth St. Louis of Hudson Falls, include his six children, Michael St. Louis and his wife Lona of Hudson Falls, Carol St. Louis and her husband Thomas Faircloth of Fayetteville, NC, Thomas St. Louis of Clifton Park, Linda St. Louis of Tucson, AZ, Garry St. Louis of Phoenix, and Nancy St. Louis of McLean, VA; six grandchildren, Joshua St. Louis, Katie St. Louis, Cyle St. Louis, Julie St. Louis, Aura Lipinski, and Austin Lipinski; and his great grandson Evan Hearing.

Friends may call on Friday, August 24, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s church on the park in Main Street on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the Town of Kingsbury.
