Pamela Sue (Waite) Romer

Romer, PamelaQUEENSBURY- Pamela Sue (Waite) Romer, 64, of Queensbury, passed away following a short illness on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Albany Medical Center.

Born on May 9th, 1954 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Trackey) Waite.

Pamela was a 1972 graduate of Hudson Falls High School and a 1992 honor graduate of Adirondack Community College.

She married Dean F. Romer on August 28th, 1971, at Glens Falls United Methodist Church.

Pamela first worked in the family business, Waite’s Harley Davidson Sales, later known as Waite’s Cycle Center. She later moved to The Adirondack Trust Company, working her way up to Operations Manager, where she worked for over 19 years.

She loved quilting, needlework, knitting, crocheting, sewing and cross stitch. Pamela volunteered as a Brownie Troop Leader. She enjoyed walking and hiking and recently had purchased trail maps of the area.  She was a homemaker who liked to read and watch true crime television shows in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia LaMoy.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Dean F. Romer of Queensbury; her two daughters, Jill T. Bowen and her husband, Terry of Queensbury, and Dawn C. Budreau of Lafayette, Indiana; her three grandchildren, Gregory S. Bowen, Alyssa Henderson, Austin Budreau, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 24th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls.

There will be a graveside service the following day at 11 a.m. at Pine View Cemetery, in the town of Queensbury.

The family suggests that donations in Pamela’s name be made to the CR Wood Cancer Center, 102 Park Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801, or to a charity one’s choice.
