QUEENSBURY – Mark E. Orlosky, 55, of Queensbury, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, May 15, 2016.
Born on April 22, 1961, in Casablanca, Morocco, he was the son of the late Richard and Patricia (Hess) Orlosky.
On October 31, 1996, he married Colleen Lindsay in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mark was a Technical Supervisor for Frontier Communications. He also owned and operated Sound Designs with his son, Brandon.
He was a well-known local musician currently playing keyboard with “Dirt Cheap”. He and Brandon occasionally played together and worked together setting up sound systems for other bands. Mark was a private pilot and owned a Cessna 172 and was a member of Aircraft Pilots Association.
He enjoyed vacationing in the Bahamas and helping anyone with anything at all. Mark loved sitting at the bar at the Harvest, having a Maker’s Mark Manhattan, served by his favorite bartender, Jayme.
Besides his parents, Mark was predeceased by his brother, Paul.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Colleen Orlosky of Queensbury; his son, Brandon Orlosky of Queensbury; his brothers and sisters, Matthew Orlosky of Johnstown, John Orlosky of Amsterdam, Luke Orlosky of Richardson, Texas, Jake Orlosky of Ventura, California, David Orlosky and his wife, Dawn, serving overseas with the US Navy, his twin sister Melissa Warren of Gloversville his sister, Rebecca Pecorino and her husband, Tony of Saratoga, Rachel Orlosky Apunte and her companion, Kirk of Albany, Lorena Orlosky of Los Angeles, CA, Martha Figueroa and her husband, Jorge of Gloversville; his father and mother in law, James and JoAnn Lindsay of Kingsbury; his sister in law, Erin Siaulnski and her husband, Stephen of Argyle; his brother in law Daniel Lindsay of Kingsbury; Mema; his much loved 28 nieces and nephews; as well as several cousins; and his beloved dogs, Larry, Gizmo and Macie.
Friends may call on Saturday, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Gospel Lighthouse Church on LaCrosse Street in Hudson Falls.
A service of remembrance will follow at 6 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Paul Mead, officiating.
Burial will be private.
A tribute to Mark, by his band Dirt Cheap, will take place Saturday at 10 p.m. at Sandy’s Clam Bar in Glens Falls.
