HUDSON FALLS – Bernard “Bernie” McCullough, 84, formerly of Kelly Avenue and most recently of the Oaks, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015.
Born May 23, 1931 in Burlington VT, he was the son of the late Harold and Irma (Larrow) McCullough.
He served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.
On February 24, 1952, he married Rosemary Cavanaugh in St. Mary’s Church in Hudson Falls.
Mr. McCullough was a carpenter millwright with Local 229 and worked with various contractors and MLB in Latham.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his four sisters, Leah Waite, Elizabeth Jarvis, Uta Depew and Romona Bartholomew, died before him.
Survivors besides his wife of 63 years, Rosemary McCullough of Hudson Falls, include two sons, Patrick McCullough, DDS and his wife, Paula, of Queensbury and Steven McCullough and his wife, Margaret, of Gansevoort; one daughter, Colleen Mahar and her husband, Thomas, of Glens Falls; two sisters, Anna St. Jacques of Plattsburg and Phyllis Russell and her husband, Peter, of Fort Edward; six grandchildren, Shamus McCullough, Carly McCullough, DDS, Erin McCullough, Kevin McCullough, Katie Mahar and Kristopher Mahar; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours scheduled.
Graveside services with full military honors, will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, at Pine View Cemetery in the town of Queensbury.
