Margaret J. Huff

GRANVILLE – Margaret J. Huff, 79, of Granville, passed away, peacefully at the Glens Falls Hospital on Friday, February 13, 2015.

Born on November 11, 1935, in Palmerton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. George E. and Alice (Bartholomew) Huff, Sr..

After graduation, Margaret attended Adirondack Community College, working towards her degree in nursing. Following college, she joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. She finished her military career at the Pentagon in Washington DC, retiring in 2008.

Margaret was a devout Catholic. Along with her religion, her family was extremely important to her. She was a very private person, who adored her three brothers.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Eldon Huff, Robert Huff and George Huff and three nephews, David C. Huff, Robert Huff and Edward Huff.

She is survived by her sister in law, Shirley A. Huff of Hudson Falls; her nieces and nephews, Susan Huff of Hudson Falls, Diane and Walter Combs of Glens Falls, Tim and Chris Huff of Gansevoort, George Huff of Buffalo and Chris and Michael Huff of Hudson; and several great nieces and nephews.

The Rite of Committal with full military honors will be in the spring at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

Her family would like to thank the nurses on ICU at the Glens Falls Hospital, for the compassionate care given to Margaret.
